The Solution: The National Finger Print Registry

Everybody has a personal ID located on the ends of their fingers. It alone would solve all this nations problems.

A finger print registry would eliminate illegals. If each cash register had a Finger Print ID (FPI) machine to buy anything from clothes, cars, food, etc., it would force illegals out into the open and send them packing.

The FPI would be integrated into your finance Institutions making credit cards obsolete. Your finger would be scanned at the check out like a credit card was. But criminals can forget stealing cards, they need your finger print.

The FPI would be the only ID you need to vote, thus eliminating all the 4th Amendment problems, voter ID cards and privacy rights, etc. Registering would no longer be necessary.

Finding anyone who commits a crime and left a print behind would make solving crimes much easier.

The FPI information could be tailored to limit what information the government holds on you. There would be no need for them to know your address, just your state. Same with employers, the finger print verifys who you are, that is all they need to know.

So you are saying we pass a law that mandates every citizen is only allowed to own one credit card?

Now, I am not opposed to asking citizens to voluntarily joining a database. You could expand the existing database simply by including professional organizations (in most states, to become a CPA you must submit fingerprints) and companies like fitness chains. I know 24 Hour Fitness uses a fingerprint scan in conjunction with a telephone number when joining.
