Such a powerhouse growing up

a white child not knowing

this world like I should

 

I remember the capstone class I took in college

and the essay to get in

you never forget these things once they become

branded in your soul

 

 

this was a cool song that still has so much to say

today

 

 

I like the instrumental part - then the short instrumental

 

And sure, there's is a lot here that might not resonate today

 

like people talking about ending the war - they don't

And the Indian Reservations / people do not go there

to feel safe --- I kind of wish those two things were still true

kind of...

 

And, then the big one, politicians do not talk about raising taxes

That's long gone.
