... The US healthcare system is a joke, with to many people with their fingers in the pie.

Over regulation has nothing to do with it, right?

This is actually one of the areas the Affordable Care Act has come up short. The subsidy given to those as part of their premium support to see a doctor, isn't the real cost of healthcare, as is treatment for chronic diseases, and the associated drug costs.

This hasn't changed since the law went into effect, and wouldn't change if the law was repealed. If adjustments to the law are not made regarding these issues, it will continue to make the case for a single payer system.

The Congress ignored this for decades which led to the Affordable Care Act in the first place. If they continue to ignore it, they will be looking at a single payer system a lot faster than they think. Especially in light of the revelations regarding the failures and rampant corruption in the Veterans Administration.

The US healthcare system is to fractured to be as efficient as it could be with 50 different state Medicaid programs, a federal Medicare program, a Veterans Administration program, and indigent care requirements regarding hospital emergency room care.

Bringing all of it under one single payer program, with one set of rules, and regulations, and one funding program would be more efficient, and give the federal government the ability to more easily regulate the cost of drugs. It would also alleviate the burden put on employers as far as their costs of covering employees.

The US healthcare system is a joke, with to many people with their fingers in the pie.

America is too corrupt to have anythuing BUT a single payer system until we get the healthcare debacle under control. Look at the rise in costs in oje year with insurance ....many people now cannot afford the cost of visting a specialist because of the "fee" for that appointment.which is made by your doctor, so it is a "good ole' boy" syndrome we enter when we make an appointment with our regular doctor regarding our healthcare needs.

A single payer government run.free healthcare system will make Obamacare the pride of the nation without the greed usually present by excessive corruption that now pervades the country.

Bernie knows that most of his domestic economic reforms are doomed or severly crippled by the bloated imperialist budget (more than $1 trillion per year when ALL "national security" spending is included), so why is he not advocating cuts in that bloated budget?Perhaps he fears what was done to JFK.
