Marijuana U.S.A.!!!

Recommended Posts

Bad news on the homefront.. A 5,000$ permit that was purchased to grow medical cannabis for five years in a California County has been revoked after a year with little warning.. Seems Trump has scared folks enough to shut it down.

Cannabis is being kicked backed to to the drug lords

Outlaw marijuana. It rots the minds of children, teens and adults and will eventually turn them into slaves of the Government. Both users and government become addicted to marijuana and when it becomes a symbiotic addiction, we will all be enslaved - even those who have no interest in getting high.

"Inhaled cannabis is effective and well-tolerated in patients with Tourette's Syndrome (TS), according to clinical data published online ahead of print in the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience.

A team of researchers at the University of Toronto retrospectively assessed the safety and efficacy of inhaled cannabis in 19 patients with the disease.

Researchers reported, "All study participants experienced clinically significant symptom relief," including reductions in obsessive-compulsive symptoms, impulsivity, anxiety, irritability, and rage outbursts. Eighteen of the 19 patients experienced decreased tic severity. Cannabis was "generally well tolerated" by study subjects.

Investigators concluded: "Overall, these study participants experienced substantial improvements in their symptoms. This is particularly striking given that almost all participants had failed at least one anti-tic medication trial. ... In conclusion, cannabis seems to be a promising treatment option for tics and associated symptoms."

"Inve$tor$ have pumped tens of millions of dollars into the Oregon cannabis industry, according to a state senator who sits on the Oregon Marijuana Regulation Committee. He estimated that investments total between $60 million and $80 million.

And that’s only in the last six months, Sen. Floyd Propanski told Northwest Public Radio."

Pro-VETS

ACTION ITEM!!!

"Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), along with five co-sponsors, has reintroduced H.R. 1820, the Veterans Equal Access Act, which expands medical cannabis access to eligible military veterans.

Last year, majorities in both the US House and Senate voted to include similar language as part of the Fiscal Year 2017 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies Appropriations bill. However, Republicans sitting on the House Appropriations Committee elected to remove the language from the bill during a concurrence vote.

Lawmakers must stop playing politics with veteranshealth and pass H.R. 1820."

"With revenue of $4 billion-$4.5 billion, sales of legal recreational and medical marijuana in 2016 topped those of Viagra and Cialis, paid music streaming services, tequila and Girl Scout Cookies.

It’s a notable milestone for an industry still very much in its infancy."

"Ohioans, wanting medical marijuana, have been crossing the border into Michigan, where some Detroit-area dispensaries will sell to out-of-staters who are issued recommendations for cannabis use, months ahead of the drug becoming available in their home state, according to officials from a company providing the recommendations.

The move is giving a boost to Michigan MMJ businesses before the launch of Ohio’s own medical cannabis program in 2018."

"Cannabis exposure in utero is not associated with any significant, long-lasting adverse outcomes in offspring, according to a scientific review published online ahead of print in the journal Preventive Medicine.

A pair of researchers from the University of Maryland, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences and the Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Psychiatry reviewed four prospective cohort studies evaluating the long-term health outcomes of in utero cannabis exposure.

They concluded, "The evidence base for maternal-infant health outcomes of cannabis use in pregnancy is more robust than for many other substances. ... Although there is a theoretical potential for cannabis to interfere with neurodevelopment, human data drawn from four prospective cohorts have not identified any long-term or long lasting meaningful differences between children exposed in utero to cannabis and those not."

A 2016 literature review published in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology similarly reported that the moderate use of cannabis during pregnancy is not an independent risk factor for adverse neonatal outcomes such as low birth weight.

A 2017 study reported that maternal marijuana use was not independently associated with adverse effects on their children's educational attainment.

By contrast, maternal alcohol use was associated with detrimental educational outcomes in the cohort."

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asking congressional leaders to undo federal medical marijuana protections that have been in place since 2014, according to a May letter that became public Monday.

The protections, known as the Rohrabacher-Farr amendment, prohibit the Justice Department from using federal funds to prevent certain states "from implementing their own State laws that authorize the use, distribution, possession or cultivation of medical marijuana."

In his letter, first obtained by Tom Angell of Massroots.com and verified independently by The Washington Post, Sessions argued that the amendment would "inhibit [the Justice Department's] authority to enforce the Controlled Substances Act." He continues:

"I believe it would be unwise for Congress to restrict the discretion of the Department to fund particular prosecutions, particularly in the midst of an historic drug epidemic and potentially long-term uptick in violent crime. The Department must be in a position to use all laws available to combat the transnational drug organizations and dangerous drug traffickers who threaten American lives."

"Colorado medical marijuana dispensaries soon could experience an uptick in sales now that the state has made post-traumatic stress disorder a qualifying condition.

Under the measure – which the governor signed into law Monday – military veterans and other patients with a physician’s recommendation will be permitted to buy medical cannabis for PTSD, the Denver Post reported."
