We need to stop the republican debt bomb.

Morning to you too.   And yes, precisely. It's always sad watching people like Popup dance and lie, because they really believe that all their frantic contortions and moronic lies are working - that

Of course you don't. You can't look at anything that might destroy the sad, desperate fantasy you are trying to hide in. The bad news, cupcake, is that everyone else will.   I just looked at the len

Did you mean bitch? Ha ha ha! I always knew you were a lezzy, but I didn't know you were stupid…

and the idiot chimes in…

What was that, Janet? You know you don't make much sense when you get in one of your little tizzies.

Who cares? Even if what you say is true it would have not made a SMIDGEON of difference. Dems were trounced because the people finally caught on to the lies and obstruction. Not only were they badly beaten in fed elections they were mauled in state elections.

The Dems were trounced because of the lowest turnout since WW2. 36%. That means you won with 19-20%. Congradulations. See you in two years with an electoral map that heavily favors the Dems, and Hillary Clinton beating all comers. And since you're not getting anything past Obama for the next two years, it will be a very hollow victory. Enjoy.

Why didn't Obama's base come out and support him?

Why didn't Obama's base come out and support him?

Contrary to popular belief, Obama is not a Liberal populist. He's a center of the road African American Democrat. Something both Liberals and Conservatives missed about the guy from day one. The conservatives were never going to support him because he's not among the entitled white male evangelical conservative aristocracy. They made that clear the day he was sworn in, so they have no credibility on anything. Liberals grew increasingly disenchanted because he has not taken more populist positions on their causes, and because he's who he is, never was going to, and with two wars, and a deep recession to dig out of, wouldn't have had the time to do anyway. Obama never was the guy to address the concerns of the Liberal base. He has however set the stage for a more populist Liberal candidate in the future. The Millennial base will demand those kinds of candidates in the future. A generation that is some 76 million strong, more diverse, more tolerant, less religious, and a whole generation that will have grown up in the new era of technology. Since they will have a completely different set of problems to face in their life times, they aren't going to be rehashing the politics of today. That favors the Liberals in future elections, as the fear of change isn't something they will be saddled with.
