A GUIDE TO the OPEN INTERNET

Recommended Posts

According the current events, related with Net neutrality

Network neutrality is the idea that your cellular, cable, or phone internet connection should treat all websites and services the same. Big companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast want to treat them differently so they can charge you more depending on what you use

Just a way for big corporations to run the internet. If congress approves internet regulation ( something that CONSERVATIVES and the 1% have been wanting for a long time ) how long will it be before big corporations dictate what can and can't be seen by the Amwerican people?

Soon we will have certain allowed internet channels that are approved by the government. Since .gov will be responsible they will be held to a different standard where all information will be filtered for correctness and legality.

Not to mention total access to all pertinent citizen info of course related to terrorism.

Actually you can avoid this, if you can manage the router settings by yourself. I know this because I am in UK and some companies are dictating to us users what site to visit and not. I am changing my IP address when I want to visit any site that my provider is restricting me. It is a simple way, and if you’re smart enough to follow the instruction https://www.router-reset.com/default-ip-address-list/Belkin everything is gonna be just fine. This is what I am doing, it is not illegal, there are no laws that can proof that you’re guilty.

Yet, Facebook and Google would not be forced to treat everyone as equal under Net Neutrality.  Therefore, forcing one group to be "net neutral" and not others, means that net neutrality is anything but neutral!
