Pre banned @ dailykos.com-ALEC & ART5 issue article errors.

Recommended Posts

I would go there and comment but I've been pre banned at dailykos ever since I can remember. Might have been around '09 when I first tried.

The author of this article states right off that he had to go to wiki to learn about ART5, that was not good to see.

I've disclosed that wiki is concealing treason to the US District court relating to the structure of the Twin towers. They perpetuate the FEMA lie that mislead NIST, (hand picked so they would go along with it) and they also misrepresent ART5.

http://m.dailykos.com/story/2012/06/12/1097380/-ALEC-on-Article-V-Conventions

The author actually depends on ALEC interpretation of a lot of criyical asoects of ART5 which of course is self serving within their agenda.

ALEC must control a majority of congress people and states in order to justify this attempt. They accurately state 3/4 of the states can amend with or without congress, but the entire article ignores the part of ART5 that mentions "conventions in 3/4 of the states thereof".

It appears ALEC uses the granting of powers to congress in their interpretation of ART5 to gain legitimacy. It is omitted that the word "may" applied to congress determining the mode of ratification.

The one thing the author gets correct is that ALEC is colluding with corporations to perhaps rewrite fundaments of the constitution.

What is most disturbing is that it is clear the author knows nothing about constitutional

Intent or why Lincoln in 1859 referred to "the people are the rightful masters of the congress and the courts".

I have a thread at the ronpaulfotum, where i was just banned, about a petition to ALEC and convention of states asking them to comment on the notion of preparing America to participate in ART5.

Preparation consists of steps similar to ALEC, in that first amendment of ART5 making preparation of the people mandatory before a general convention proceeds, then ending the abridging if free speech, securing the vote and campaign finance reform.

My site has a page about it the process, and perhaps a name. The "Principal Party"'

Some of the comments.on the Article are fairly insifhtful. This is the biggest political thing outside of the usual partisan elections, so Americans should pay close attention.

Fascinating!

Sadly people care more about, fashion, entertainment, sports and porn to care about issues affecting their life.

Dailykos has terrible moderation. They ban for no valid reason.

An example:

Someone posted a diary about an incident where an Asian man had some fish at the grocery in checkout, and decided he didn't want to buy them and just set them on the side to go to waste. The person confronted him and there was an argument.

The responses were for two messages:

1. How dare you identify the man's race as Asian. There's no reason to state that, so you are a hateful racist.

2. It's none of your business that he did that. You didn't own the fish, so you shouldn't have said anything.

I then posted, saying I had no issue with the objections to his having posted the race and wasn't defending that, but I disagreed with criticizing him for saying something.

I think there's a sort of social contract that justifies opposes wrongdoing like that, and he didn't have to own the fish to object to that.

I got responses accusing me of defending his mentioning the person was Asian.

I responded, no, as I clearly said, I am not defending that - only the objection to the behavior of wasting the food like that that was wrong and inconsiderate.

That was it - a ban. They just make up reasons as they go along for them.

After the last time, I decided not to return indefinitely - I think it's been 9 months. Too bad as the content is largely good, but not the moderation.

Part of the problem is the moderators, and part is the system they use where just having IIRC three users vote against your post triggers a ban. You can appeal, in theory, but then you get to the quality of the moderators, who might not even respond.
