World Peace

Full employment is out of reach of the market economy. There are too many people. Already in the USA it is not possible to achieve full employment. There are no shortages locally or internationally so the economy is stable at the levels of employment that exist now. Higher levels here would require an emphasis on non market solutions. Taxes would need to support an expanding infrastructure construction. The same would apply internationallly. Taxes would have to suppport non market construction and maintenance. Parks and recreation would become infrastructure. . The benefits would be multifold. More people working would increase spedning. The spending at lower income levels would direct money back into the economy. Warren Buffet said you have to put money into the hands of people that will spend it.

Many ponder how it is that the Fed has increased the base money supply 400 percent since 2008 with practically no inflation.”http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2014/04/09/economist-rickards-collapse-of-the-dollar-and-international-monetary-system-is-entirely-foreseeable/

There is no inflation because the money supply did not go to people that would spend it.

The job creators aren't job creators at all. They are people with capital assets whose worth continues to outpace the rest of us drastically. None of the Western nations in the developed world are doing a darn thing about it, especially the one that counts the most, our own.

Peace!

The rich get rich and the poor get poorer

I fear it'sstoopedifying to some.

I recall the famous song, "Dream Weaver". Eutopia is a fantasy.

Gotta agree with you on this one. There will always be someone who wants more than everyone else or wants to take by force what someone has. Just human nature.

world peace can only be achieved when greed and hatred have been removed from all mens hearts,

And as much as I would like to see that happen, it's not going to happen. What we have to do is accept our human fraities. Only then can we move on. This won't end war or poverty or injustice, but it will at least bring into focus the causes of such tragedies. Perhaps then we can focus on ways to overcome them.

If at some point in time a way to alter mankind's (kind...ha-ha) genetic predisposition toward greed and hatred which emerged from the primordial soup, that peace might have a chance of being realized. Unless human DNA is artificially altered, or takes a Darwinian turn, we will always face the same shameful treatment of one another until our last flicker is extinguished.

Not to sound depressing, but I agree with you again. Preaching about the evils of greed and poverty is fine. And I applaud those who feel this way. But the reality is that these people, just like everybody else, have the same weaknesses. We all need to look at ourselves before looking outward. When we ourselves are perfect, only then can we expect perfection in others.
