Do Safety Nets encourage Risky Behavior?

Recommended Posts

The "Turn the other cheek" was an attitude that Christians should have so that small things do not escalate to bigger problems, but excessive tolerance is not what the Bible presents.

Three Levels of Action Necessary for Survival of a Society/Civilization

I believe the Bible teaches all things should be dealt with by the following three levels of action;

1) If it is good - accept it and nourish it.

2) If it is evil - rebuke it but tolerate it.

3) If it threatens your existence - destroy it before it destroys you. This is self defense, which both the individual and society have a right and responsibility to do.

The first two are from the New Testament of the Bible and represent the Law of Love. The third is from the Old Testament of the Bible and represents the Law of Purity/Self Defense. The New Testament deals more with personal responsibility (spiritual attitudes) and the Old Testament deals more with the preservation of society (physical actions). The Old Testament and the New Testament together present God's Law, a means of survival for a person, a nation and a world. No one should be forced to be a Christian, but all should be judged by Civil Law based on Christian Principles.

Three Stages of Tolerance

Tolerance must have limits. Tolerance should be dealt with in three stages.; 1) Mistake - Rebuke, 2) Intent - Warning, 3) Deliberate - Execution.

Everyone can make a mistake, and a mistake should only be rebuked. The second infraction represents intent and there should be a warning that the third infraction will result in execution. The third infraction is an indication of the total disregard for the Civil Laws for society, thus the person must be removed from society by execution.

If the judicial system where to use these three stages of tolerance there would be no need for prisons since the person would be let back into society following each stage except the third. If a jury has any concern about a situation, they could always vote "not guilty" and the person would be put back into society even for the third stage. A prison system is cruel and unusually punishment for a person and a significant economic burden on society. Any society that will not execute those that have shown a total disregard for the Civil Laws of society will not survive.

Evil is like cancer, either you kill it or it kills you.

hey stupid. First of all, YOU cannot kill evil. Bit go ahead, round up a beaker of evil, and then kill it. Second of all, threatens your existence? Is your measly paltry life so precious that you would preserve it rather than be with God? He who loves his life shall lose it. Remember that scripture spoken by JESUS???

how many days did you live before you pretended to accept salvation? Why wont you answer that? For each day, you were forgiven and allowed to live, even though you were evil every single day.

so passive aggressive you are! Would you preferred I had pointed you are a fool, instead?

But PLEASE tell us how you can kill evil all by your lonesomes, sparky. Or even how society can kill evil? Yes, you have been called out, and you will shrivel off to yet another duh humping spate of self indulgent abuse of Christianity slobber fest
