Vegas
Congress's approval rating is 13%. Seriously? What purpose does it serve to vote for these two parties? Since 1776 we have only had these two parties to deal with, so if anyone thinks that one party is to 100% blame for our woes then you need your head checked. There are third parties out there, you all just need to turn off CNN,MSNBC, and FOX news. Inform yourselves for God sakes. Don't be a tool! Vegas
so? another millionaire party (R. Perot) that vanished like a fart in the wind when he didn't get elected They are all millionair parties. The point is that you cannot expect change if you keep voting in the same parties that are reponsible for the messes. It's impossible to move forward. Vegas
I liked him.. is that all he taught you about 3rd parties ? No. It all depends on the party and their core mission statement. I don't agree with all of them, but I do agree with a lot of them.
Hex2
Honest people won't or can't run because of all the money and corruption. If an honest person was elected he would be shut out of the processes by those in senior positions of power. AS for those that are the candidates they have been prepped and chosen by the party bosses. AKA; we're screwed

My view is that when people have only 2 options to go with, they are not left with a choice. They are left with a delima. It's only when we have 3 or more options in front of us that we can honestly say we have choices. We are always left with a delima in politics. Usually people would say that is unAmerican and Unpatriotic. I disagree. Just think of the message that would be sent to Washington if nobody voted in the next election. Gallows 420
We are not screwed...yet. ok... bend over.. why dont we elect the pres and vp the way the constitution tells us to ? no mention of a popular vote, or of a pres choosing his vp and running... the electoral college chooses who is pres and who is vp, no one else this is very clear to me.... #12 The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, does that look pretty clear to you ? which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate; -- The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted; -- The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.-- The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States
