Do Capitalism and Socialism have to be at odds with each other?

Recommended Posts

I have been accused aplenty on here of being a Marxist, a Communist, etc ... but I assure you that is not the case. I believe in capitalism, I also belive in unions. I belive in liberty, I also believe in the social compact. etc etc. The point is ---- these things do not necessarily have to be at odds with each other.

Here is a very interesting talk on capitalism and socialism in the USA. Please put your biases aside & just listen before you comment. (Warning: It's long, but worth the listen, set yourself aside an hour for it - but you really only have to listen to the first 30 minutes.)

Very few folks here take the time to view links here.. let alone watch YouTube videos....

Everyone is in a rush to make a post...

I quit watching when he started talking about the wire...

I've seen this in another thread on another forum... the dude has no busieness giving a speech..

Just listen to the first 30 minutes ---- even if you don't like him or think you will agree ---- you might find something of merit to think about at least.

It's just nice to hear someone talk seriously and sincerely about such things.

Absolutely if humanity is to rule genetic continuation forever having nobody know what real is any generation of another ancestor added to this atmosphere's first and third world orders.

What are this planet's second and fourth worlds? I mean academia controls church, state, and economics that define the values of character's rights saving humanity's greater good intentions which pave the path to eternal hell constantly here.
