truthwarrior757
Because freedom isn’t free. It has to be taken away. And then redistributed to persecuted groups like two bored gay men whose idea of love involves suing people. Once upon a time there was a country with freedom of religion. A country where you couldn’t just compel someone to violate their religion because some member of a designated victim insisted that it had a compelling need to violate someone else’s religious freedom. That was America. It was a nice place. Unfortunately we all seem to live in Sweden now with moral panics about guns and shotgun gay weddings. A Colorado bakery owner illegally discriminated against a gay couple when he refused to bake a wedding cake for the pair last year because of his Christian religious beliefs, a judge ruled on Friday. Administrative Law Judge Robert Spencer ordered Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver, to accommodate sex-couples or face fines and other possible penalties. “The complainants can sue him civilly in the regular courts system or he can potentially be prosecuted by the district attorney for up to twelve months in jail.” “At first blush, it may seem reasonable that a private business should be able to refuse service to anyone it chooses,” Spencer wrote in his 13-page ruling. “This view, however, fails to take into account the cost to society and the hurt caused to persons who are denied service simply because of who they are.” Story continues here http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/participate-in-gay-wedding-or-go-to-jail-for-a-year/

sole result
It's not difficult to see both sides of this. OK define the two sides? I see societal evolution vs genetic continuation or character's rights taking precedence over gender liberty. Tyranny on parade with orchestrated denial leading the charge.. Byn the way, this judge sounds like the same legal system that told my sister not to worry about seeing her adopted children again, because the time they were done she wouldn't have a home for them to come back to. Really shouldn't piss off civil lifetimes living a lifestyle of left alone leave alone. Get their instincts fired up and reality will implode from all factions of denial. Natural balance has rules beyond language theories, theologies, hypotheticals, and hyperbole sold as knowledge could ever dream up to save humanity.. sole result
A bunch of silly faggots. Ruthless hearts demanding to rule every body else's lifetimes to serve their desires. Denial needs constant verification, understanding real gives the serentiy of knowing exactly where one is all the time.

( subject to the conditions of those licenses & permits of course.) I don't think he should go to jail on account of his hatred - but if he is violating the conditions of his licenses & permits they should be revoked. This is about societal evolutionists sending a message to genders everywhere, you don't count until you follow our rules we(ruling elites) are not obligated to obey, just those defined within it the law that protects character's performances within the codes of silencing understanding the real moment once and for all time. There is a third even more troubling part of this, forcing others to obey one's chosen beliefs. Tyranny begins with denial and ends with extinction of anybody left to believe. You don't have to believe or not believe anything in particular about homosexuality to make someone a cake when you are licensed & permitted by the State to make cakes for public sale. All you have to do is make the freaking cake.
sole result
Controlling the pay to play reality has reprocussions beyond the vocabulary by design that allows planned obsolescence and plausible deniablitiy to work every time practiced protected by theory and theology alike. You are a devoted disciple of what if, not a survivor of what is real. You make fantasies feel real and that entrappment has got you fooled as well. What spaces time spent individually apart living in the same instant? It isn't metaphysical either.

You're saying the baker would go to hell for serving them? Are you out of your mind? You know nothing. Jesus fraternized with people you'd say were damned. What's your excuse? If the baker were really a Christian, he'd serve his fellow human beings without judgment. As it is, he's as much as told them that Christians are bigoted. Who'd want to be one with that baker as an example? Too bad you can't see such an obvious thing.

Slowmotion426
If muslims ran the bakery I guarantee the gay couple would not have sued. And I guarantee the judge would have dismissed the suit. Christians need to get MEAN like the muslims and the bullying would stop.
cli1rus
You don't know squat. I know that Jesus fraternized with people you'd say were damned. Jesus always told the damned that they should "sin no more". Jesus never accepted their sin, and God will send the damned to Hell for their sin. They are not a**holes because they are gay. They are a**holes because they are little caesar's. The bakery owner may or may not be an a**hole for exercising his liberty to choose who to do business with, but he is not a little caesar. He's the slave. If the cake sucks, can he still go to jail?
