rightturnsonly
I heard Rush Limbaugh talking about this a few weeks ago and have not had the time to verify it through this forum. Where does one go to get a copy of the ACA act? Last time I tried online my computer stopped.
2_iron
The c'suckers will still fine you but the only method of collection is by deducting it from your tax refund. As someone who religiously insures that I always owe them money each year, they will never collect a fine from me. I giggle when I think about it. crimsongulf
Tis one of the few bright spots in this POS of a bill. yeah, the IRS is basically powerless to enforce the penalty if you structure your taxes to not get a refund.
rightturnsonly
So, if I don't get a refund, what "just cause" does Obamacare have to force me to answer any questions about my health insurance, if I even have it? or do they proceed from "just because"? If I have a refund and refuse it, same question.
sole result
Semantics will get you into trouble. It becomes unpaid taxes. Now add the law that places penalities and interest to that amount. Damned dumb idea when going against city hall using every body else's money for gaining power, wealth, fame, and control of what debate becomes next over issues that only defend character role playing. 2_iron
One thing to keep in mind, when Chairman Obamao realizes there's no bite in the law the way it's currently written, he'll change it. Eventually he'll have his howler monkeys coming to your house taking your furniture to pay for the fines.

Are you a sluttt? Someone has to stand liberty up to the tyranny of city hall. Just keep asking, "and what does that make me guilty of?", and you will find, for most transgressions of the law you are really not guilty for anything, except not staying bent over grabbing your ankles. What does your origami say about having the courage to overcome the fear of the risk in standing up to injustice by your own government? and sacrifice? GOP Socialist Soldier
It's going to be interesting on the details of how this will work, how much its enforced or not....laws are like...many things on the book but politics really decides...and that will be decided another day... rightturnsonly
do garbage like you giggle when people die from un-diagnosed cancers because they didnt have health insurance and couldnt see a doctor? does that make garbage like you giggle? It doesn't make me giggle. If individuals were held responsible for the payment of their own cancer screening, I would be more inclined to help defray the cost of the treatment. In either case, if it were me, I would have the integrity to pay it back...... I already said this somewhere. There is more expense incurred through having everyone pay for screening or diagnosis procedures through a third party, whether insurance companies or the single payer government, than if each paid directly for the procedure. Eventually you will have to give way to the logistics of what you are insisting on instead of the emotionalism that drives it.
Slowmotion426
I read that they can't fine you if you have received a stoppage of service notice from the power company. So let's all just quit paying our power bills long enough to get one.
Gallows 420
oblamer doesnt care about collecting a fine the goal is to collapse our health insurance and healthcare system, the path to "single payer" look at all the lies and broken promises anything to take control of the people thats the progressive socialist liberal way its the only part of the unaffordablecareTAX that was a success
lewstherin
there's also the religious exemption. i myself am an islamic scientologist with amish leanings. i think my great great grandmother may have been a micmac injun squaw raped by a jew, so i'm part injun too. my jew ancestor had low standards in rape, obviously. so i don't have to pay the fine no matter what. The origami doesn't speak. It shows how contracting forces create 8 hemispheres in one atmosphere using three states of characteristics added together into two 4 dimensional results using the same periodic table of molecular elements self contained to this universal location. Sounds like a magic 8 ball to me. Guess we can chalk that up to coincidence.

rightturnsonly
Start here http://www.hhs.gov/healthcare/rights/law/ rightturnsonly you fool. Fools like you who act against their own best interest... anyway it's clear you went to Rush for info. Nice... Peace! This is the very first thing I read from that website under "read the law". Nevermind that while the outline starting for "Title I" is centered and can be read, Title II is shifted off my browser window so that it cannot be read. It is possible there is an error at my end causing this, but given the problems surrounding the Somebody Else Can Afford it Healthcare Act, I doubt it. This Act puts individuals, families and small business owners in control of their health care. It reduces premium costs for millions of working families and small businesses by providing hundreds of billions of dollars in tax relief – the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history. It also reduces what families will have to pay for health care by capping out-of-pocket expenses and requiring preventive care to be fully covered without any out-of-pocket expense. For Americans with insurance coverage who like what they have, they can keep it. Nothing in this act or anywhere in the bill forces anyone to change the insurance they have, period. Americans without insurance coverage will be able to choose the insurance coverage that works best for them in a new open, competitive insurance market – the same insurance market that every member of Congress will be required to use for their insurance. The insurance exchange will pool buying power and give Americans new affordable choices of private insurance plans that have to compete for their business based on cost and quality. Small business owners will not only be able to choose insurance coverage through this exchange, but will receive a new tax credit to help offset the cost of covering their employees. It keeps insurance companies honest by setting clear rules that rein in the worst insurance industry abuses. And it bans insurance companies from denying insurance coverage because of a person’s pre-existing medical conditions while giving consumers new power to appeal insurance company decisions that deny doctor ordered treatments covered by insurance. The Secretary has the authority to implement many of these new provisions to help families and small business owners have the information they need to make the choices that work best for them. It is possible they forgot to rewrite this narrative after the reconciliation process but this: requiring preventive care to be fully covered without any out-of-pocket expense. is the most offensive to me. A business that only supplies preventive care, will not survive without income (unless we are talking about slavery of the preventive care people, but even the slave masters need income). No matter how you slice it, someone, more accurately, someone else must pay for the expense of preventive care making the law "selective" and not "general". "Out-of-pocket" is intentionally misleading if those "out-of-pocket" expenses are just being paid through a third party or result in a higher medical expense somewhere else.
