THE NEXT BIG THING: DOCTORS WILL BE FORCED TO "CARE" FOR SICK

Ben Carson should step aside from the field then. He agreed to be in a field that has "special obligations to all my fellow human beings". From that, medicine is socialistic by nature, built on that which came before and certainly there is a difference between Obama making it socialistic and keeping it socialistic. Carson is just another greed driven individual, that happens to be sitting pretty, and wants capitalism to supersede everything at the expense of even public health.

First of all, your insinuation that putting the word "special" in front of "obligations" should mean the same thing as Obamacare is absurd, or at the very least tyrannical.

Second of all, Ben Carson has donated countless hours of his time helping and performing brain surgery for free, the same services brain surgeons would normally get paid VERY well for. He has donated millions to charity. Joe Biden, the guy who has gotten rich as a lifetime politician; donates about $370 a year to charity. Carson's research has led to priceless discoveries and techniques, including the separation of conjoined twins. Obamacare prevents him from doing what he does best. But don't just take his word for it. Listen to the MAJORITY OF DOCTORS in this country who say the ACA should be repealed immediately.

Well, well, you have a comprehension problem. Putting '"special" in front of "obligations"', in the oath, means that "...DOCTORS..." have agreed "... 'TO "CARE" FOR SICK' within that context.

Same thing? Where have I stated that Obamacare, forces anyone to take that oath?

Oh, so the write-offs Carson gets have no value?

"MAJORITY OF DOCTORS"? What is the percentage of speeders that think speed laws should be done away with for reasons other than, "I want to go fast"?

Are you really that cynical? Carson is greedy because he has tax write offs? By that logic every liberal in America is greedy.

Carson has saved thousands of lives. How many people can say that?

"Special" means "doctors"? Are you sure? Who the hell told you that? You're making it up. Doesn't even make sense.

Your analogy comparing doctors to speeders implies that they are both criminals. You're crazy. And also, I don't know ANYBODY who is saying we should not have speeding laws (ticket or not)

Your logic is like a toilet bowl. You fill it full of S#it, and then flush it all out to posts that are unreasonable and irrational

Look, when I need to see a doc, I damn sure don't want to be in the waiting room with a bunch of damned illegals and entitlement career holders. I am damn fine with my doc not accepting medicaid.

concierge is the way to go. You get what you pay for.

You seem to have a problem with the English language... are you an illegal? "Special" modifies "obligations", not "doctors".

Lots of material for folks to beat speeding tickets, Ben (and others) just want to beat their agreed to oath.

It appears that the "toilet" analogy is your self perspective!!

Look for more of this whining from the left as Obamacare continues its implode. Everything always comes back to the progressive ideology of you owe me. You put in all the hard work spent all the money to get yourself through med school so now you owe society. F you! If a doctor wants to run his own private practice the way he wants to, too bad MF it's their right. Doctor's aren't greedy, my father is one. Do losers like you have any kind of idea how much it cost just to practice medicine? No cause you're a dumb ass. Doctors have to carry an ungodly about of malpractice insurance because loser's like you try to sue at the drop of the hat over everything. If I were a doctor, I think I'd just get out of the business altogether.

It seems to me that if you are in the "doctors shouldn't have to live up to the Hippocratic Oath" crowd, then yes if you were a doctor you should get out.

If doctors were all following the oath to a tee then malpractice suits would drop off and malpractice insurance costs would follow.

You and your dad should be P/Oed that these slip-shod players who want to shirk their oath have anything to do with the otherwise honorable medical field.

F you...How about you liber's living up to personal responsibility. The oath doesn't say we will work for the government who will dictate the way we practice medicine. I love how you two think Obamacare (aka ACA) is here to stay when it is imploding right in front of your eyes. Leave it to a liber to try and make this a race issue when it has not even been brought up in this thread.

Its obvious that both of you know nothing of what you're talking about. Just a bunch of liber whiners.

What good is Obamacare if there are no doctors.

Oh, boy, resorting to "F you"!!! :D

Um, isn't having to sign up for medical insurance actually supporting the idea of requiring, those who now must, to live up to their personal responsibility? :D

^That is where you said greedy. Now that I've proven you wrong, you want to take it all back. Guess I don't blame you. You're just a sad pathetic individual.

I guess "greed driven individual" does equate to greedy. So I did write that.

You however thought "special" meant "doctors". Time for you to come clean as an even sadder and more pathetic individual than what you accuse me of!!!

If you actually believe that the government is going to force doctors to participate in Obamacare, good luck.

Well, just the liars that won't live up to their oath... the others won't be a problem.

Really, the government forced emergency medical institutions (they are just loaded with doctors, and people, I hear) to treat everyone, even those without the ability to pay, and even illegal aliens, since the 80s under EMTALA law. Remember, the concept of "corporate personhood" makes businesses "people"... so the forcing has already been done and has its precedent.

That was you again! Do you suffer from short term memory loss? It is almost like you think I'm you, and you're me. What the hell are you smoking?

It was not "means doctors" it was "means that doctors" which is applicable to the rest of the sentence where "within that context" refers back to "in the oath".

My previous observation of your "comprehension problem" remains correct. You've upped your sadder and more pathetic level quite well... but I bet you double down instead of coming clean... it is the mark of your brand of idiots.

durp durp durp. Good job responding to me calling you sad and pathetic, by posting that I'm sad and pathetic.

Doctors will be made to abandon their conscience and the Hippocratic Oath in cases where the government decision conflicts with theirs and yours.

There you go again... you got it right on a technicality for "greedy" (even though I actually used the word "greed", only, I let you have it)... you got it wrong on "means doctors" (it was "means that doctors")... and now you got it wrong about me posting you are sad and pathetic (I actually posted, "sadder and more pathetic")... two out of three to the wrong side for you... siting there in your "sadder and more pathetic" world!!!

So, let me go back to that Ben Carson video that I responded to... It seems he retired before Obamacare has been phased in... so he did get out (applause!!!)... and now is on the FOX News payroll (so it looks like he is into self promotion to keep that position after loosing other speaking engagements... greed?)... beyond that, it appears that the quote “Socialized Medicine is the Keystone to the Arch of the Socialized State” that was attributed to Lenin, and referred to by Carson, came from an AMA pamphlet in 1945 during anticommunism, postwar, America but not Lenin. So let's see your "sadder and more pathetic" self prove me wrong on that!!!

Reverting to postwar anti-Communism or McCarthyism-like rhetoric is shedding "some light"?
