LagerHead
Duck Dynasty and southern redneck bigots. Yup, the heart and soul of the tea party! Yup, the party of slavery, Jim Crow laws, the KKK, disarming blacks, preventing blacks from voting, denying blacks citizenship, denying women the right to vote, voting against every civil rights legislation ever passed with Republican support: that's the soul of the Democrat party. I love your title thread names. They are often true! It's funny. Yes, your party is dead. It's one thing to be a party loyalist - I can almost admire that - but you're just being stupid and denying reality. Obama added more to the national debt in his first term than ten Bushes in both his terms. That is not an opinion. It is an irrefutable fact. You're just too stupid to see the damage done because you're too busy slobbering on Obama's junk.

GOP Socialist Soldier
It's a case of symbiotic relationships....the NAACP needs the KKK, Gays need anti-gays, Jews need War Criminals even if they're very aged, the list goes on but the Dems-Libs need the Tea Party, they might talk of it one day as dead but need it revived when they got to push something to gather the flock and turn up the intensity, everyone needs a bad guy.....the allure of Pro Wrestling success.... huntfishlib
I agree. Racism is dying off slowly. A large faction of the tea party are racist ignorant pigs, so the tea party is doomed, and I have mixed feelings. I sorta hope they pick their 2016 candidate before they fizzle out. johndnorth
When libs say the moderate wing is taking the GOP back or the tea party is dead you know they are in big trouble. It seems they believe that if they say something over and over it will become reality. They are trying to convince each other. Those who already want to believe that this foolishness is true need libs re-enforcing their desire. I live in the Socialist Comm. of Mass. The tea party is growing. I went to a tea party meeting about a year ago. There might have been a dozen people there. I went the other night again. There were about 40 people there and they were fired up. I intend to go again. If the tea party is getting people to show up in this one party state the libs are in trouble. There are virtually no GOP in state politics and the few that are elected are more democratic than republican. In a state like Mass. getting 40 people to go to a Tea party meeting in a town of about 4000 means that the Tea party is starting to get traction. Libs can wish the demise of the Tea party but from what I see it is growing.

ObummerStinks
As long as there are Americans that abhor the deficit spending, the national debt, and the unfunded debt liabilities - there will always be a tea party or something similiar. I would suspect as the growth of said deficits and debt continues to grow - so will the nature and the numbers involved in tea party movements. LisaB
Yup, the party of slavery, Jim Crow laws, the KKK, disarming blacks, preventing blacks from voting, denying blacks citizenship, denying women the right to vote, voting against every civil rights legislation ever passed with Republican support: that's the soul of the Democrat party. Those things comprise the ideology of conservatives, not liberals. While conservative night riders were terrorizing blacks into not registering to vote, liberals came from the North to help them register, and some of those liberals paid for that with their lives, because if conservatives couldn't scare them into not voting, they'd kill them into not voting. It's just the way it is. Conservatives and liberals never change their ideologies. A conservative never finds a reason to become liberal and liberals don't become conservatives. But the parties have changed positions, changed sides. The Republicans of Lincoln's day were iliberals, the Democrats conservative. They changed places over a long period of time, and by the middle of the 1970's, the Democratic Party was pretty much liberal, and the Republicans were pretty much conservative. It's continued that way down to today.

Oh gosh, it's been weeks since I killed anyone for helping blacks vote. Months even! In reality, it was racists who waged the terror, not "conservatives." It's just the way it is. An unknown political novice who has never visited Washington, D.C., won a special election for Louisiana's 5th District seat Saturday on the endorsement of the "Duck Dynasty" family and a promise to fix Obamacare. Vance McAllister beat establishment candidate Neil Riser, a state senator, in Saturday's runoff election. He promised to 'fix' Obamacare, not repeal it. That is hardly the postition of the Teabaggers. "I believe there is a message," McAllister said Monday in an interview. "And it's that we intend to work together for the common purpose and that's to make government work. That's what we should be striving for." The Monroe businessman handily beat Tea Party and GOP establishment backed State Sen. Neil Riser, R-Columbia in a special election Saturday. http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2013/11/newly_elected_vance_mcallister.html No Teabagger would ever say they they intended to work together to make government work. They don't want it to work, they want to destroy it. Riser was the Teabagger, not McAllister.
