ABC news just reported on the radio...

How badly will the Administration lie?

http://www.politico.com/politico44/2013/11/administration-to-release-obamacare-enrollment-numbers-177441.html

The Obama administration will on Wednesday release data on October enrollments through the federal health insurance exchange.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will release a report on the numbers at 3:30 p.m., and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will discuss the findings on a press call then. The numbers are for people living in states using the federal exchange and not state exchanges, which have slowly been releasing their data.

The White House has been trying to lower already low expectations for the numbers, as press secretary Jay Carney did, yet again, at his daily briefing Wednesday. "No one will be satisfied with the numbers because they will be below what we sought" prior to the launch of the website, he told reporters.

Carney said he hadn't yet discussed the numbers with Obama.

Before HealthCare.gov's Oct. 1 launch, the administration said it expected what it cast then as a conservative number of 500,000 people to sign up for coverage during the first month of open enrollment. Instead, the number's expected to be just a tenth of that -- more in line with the 40,000-to-50,000 total reported by the Wall Street Journal earlier this week.

Makes sense that "free" insurance would be preferred over what you have to pay for.

They've already announced they are going to count people who have put a plan in their web shopping cart, but haven't actually bought it.

They simply cannot be honest.

Sebelius says 106,000 people purchased insurance...

They didn't say how many actually purchased vs. how many simply selected a plan then did nothing.

Sebelius is suppose to hold a call with reporters to answer questions.

Will be interesting to see if she answers that questions.

26,000 signed up through the website.

396,000 medicaiders.

Now they are saying the 106,000 have "selected" a plan:

The administration said the figure counts all those who have selected a health care plan from state and federal exchanges, even if they haven't yet paid a premium on those plans.

Approximately 26,794 people enrolled in Obamacare through the healthcare.gov website in October, according to officials released Wednesday by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

The 26,794 figure, which represents enrollments on the federal exchanges (as opposed to the state-run exchanges), is well below the White House’s initial estimates of 500,000 for the month of October.

Roughly 106,185 consumers have signed up for Obamacare via the federal and state-run exchanges.

Well aware of the dismal federal exchange numbers, the Obama administration spent much of Monday and Tuesday laying the groundwork for the bad news.

“I can guarantee you the number that is released will be lower than we had hoped and anticipated because of the problems with the website, and that is why it is so important to focus our energies on fixing the problems,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday.

“And that goes to the subpoena we were talking about earlier, the attempt to remove somebody who is very much a key part of the effort to fix the website from his job for a certain amount of time. And it raises questions about how sincere critics are when it comes to joining with us in the effort to try to fix the problems that exist,” he added.

Carney said Wednesday he hasn’t discussed the numbers yet with President Barack Obama.

“No one will be satisfied with the numbers because they will be below what we sought,” Carney said.

At a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing Wednesday, U.S. lawmakers failed in their repeated attempts to get the men responsible for healthcare.gov to give a hard date for when it will be functioning. As of this writing, it is unclear when the website will be fully operational.

This is a breaking story. Updates will be added as they become available.

Millions losing coverage (1 mil in CA alone) and they get 27K to sign up for ACA and shifted the rest to Medicare......

I love it when a plan comes together!

Collapse the system to replace it with another....right out of the Alinksy play book.

Sebelius says 106,000 people purchased insurance...

Are you sure she said that?

Because we've already been told that the numbers they were going to release would only show those enrolled ... not those who necessarily PAID for a plan.

This suggests she said only 27,000 "purchased" a plan.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/11/13/aca-enrollment-statistics-wednesday/3517715/

WASHINGTON — Just 26,794 people bought health insurance through the federal exchange during the first month since its troubled launch Oct. 1, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Wednesday.

An additional 79,391 used the state exchanges to enroll, for a total of 106,185 people enrolled from Oct. 1 to Nov. 2.

The rest just "enrolled".

And I bet there will be a lot of those who don't plunk down the money in the end.

Why commit yourself to pay money for something that may be repealed, delayed or just plain fail?

:D

That's like, um, er, .0004 percent of the population.

It's coming along. Yep. Coming right along.

More precisely, 26,000 is 0.004 of the number they claim they needed for Obamacare to be viable.

And that was before Obama suggested they would widen the number of people getting subsidies.

Not a very good start considering the deadline is just about 4 months away.

Collapse the system to replace it with another....right out of the Alinksy play book.

Yes, it's Cloward/Piven realized.

The ACA is working EXACTLY as planned.....

To believe otherwise is to conclude Obama and his cronies are so stupid, so inept and so unable to run the country that they should be run out of town.

Sorry but Beck, Hannity etal were spot on in the predictions of the election of Obama and the Fundamental Transformation of America.

By the way ... why should we believe the numbers the administration has claimed?

We know they've lied at every step about Obamacare in order to sell the program.

We know they've inflated number after number to sell the program.

We know Sebelius has lied ... lied under oath.

What independent confirmation do we have for this 106,000 number?

NONE.

So I bet the 106,000 is inflated too.

I bet things are worse than even that.
