larryc12
Why the left will not acknowledge his lying in the face of obvious, blatant dishonesty is quite telling. Now he wants to tell us, "I didn't say that!". Well, he did and denying that he did is proof that the guy has no interest in leading the people of this nation to any semblance of prosperity. LisaB
And it was. It was? The war had ended? We pulled all our troops out? Not one more American or Iraqi was killed? You don't put a huge banner on a ship and line the decks with hundreds of men to watch the president fly in on a jet unless your entire mission has been fulfilled, not a part of it, not some weasel-worded announcement. No, we were still in country, still fighting, still dying along with Iraqis. "Mission Accomplished," huh? Boy, this is a real intelligence-based forum, not. There is a great spit between conservatives and liberals as to what "Mission Accomplished" means. To conservatives, it meant that the Islamic Terrorists had been attacked and were in retreat. To liberals, it apparently meant that all war had to end. Liberals seem to be a very naive class of people that are easily deceived.

You don't put a huge banner on a ship and line the decks with hundreds of men to watch the president fly in on a jet unless your entire mission has been fulfilled, not a part of it, not some weasel-worded announcement. And here you are deciding what a mission is. When, where, and for how long did you serve in the military? Bush was congratulating his military for accomplishing the mission as it was set out to be. No, we were still in country, still fighting, still dying along with Iraqis. "Mission Accomplished," huh? Absolutely and if you had any idea what a mission in the military is, you'd know I'm right and Bush was right. What comes after a military victory is another mission, but you don't care about that if you think you can paint a different picture than reality. Boy, this is a real intelligence-based forum, not. Coming from a leftist that doesn't know sh#t about the military and military missions. FYI, a mission can be as small as a squad taking a building or hill. Accomplishing that mission doesn't even mean a particular battle is won, yet the mission was accomplished. Know what your're talking about before slinging crap. They put things the way they want to put them without the least bit knowledge of terminology they are spewing. Our military accomplished its mission in defeating the regime and its military, that simple.

I guess if Bush meant that we had attacked a country needlessly, and now the real s--t was gonna' start, then his mission was accomplished, but then most of us have better sense than that. How the hell do you figure the terrorist's are in retreat, when Bush's war did no more than turn Iraq into a haven for f--king terrorist. I think as time passes the terrorist's will be erecting monument's in honner of Bush for his assistance to their cause.

Ok, he lied! But I think the sycophants surrounding him deliberately misinformed him, and fed him his talking points. This often happens with presidents, they lose touch with reality and the common people, and become isolated by their handlers in their own little bubble world. This is a big criticism of Maobama, in that he is not fully engaged in what is going on, and listens to too many people who hold hidden agendas.
