We won't vote against Democrats because of ACA problems.

Recommended Posts

Sorry CONfuhks but that ship won't sail.

Democrats don't act like children who just had a toy taken away, unlike you simpering fuhkwit Republicans.

The problems with the ACA are not going to change the fact that the Republicans are still completely without principles, morals, or courage.

In short, Republicans still suck, still have no clue, no plans, and no answers.

Good post, intelligently composed. That said, I don't believe anyone is against health care. I think the issue is that it has become a political trophy with blind faith in a system that has proven to be a failure. If the system gets fixed and people stop receiving insurance cancellations regardless of the level of insurance they have, then things might turn around. You can not have a failed system as your guidon leading you into battle against the evil Republican horde.

I had a friend who is LOADED receive a letter today cancelling her family's health care on November 1st. By LOADED, I mean she has a great job, great house, great health care (for two more days). Do not lie to yourself or anyone else and say it is not happening. That said, if they can fix this, it may work but until then, it is just another failed policy.

Looking forward to your witty reply!

No fear because it won't change a thing regardless of who is elected. The debt will keep growing, and the banksters will still be pulling the strings, just a different set of marionettes will be on stage.

The cancellations are actually change orders in almost every instance. My wife got one from her employer. Insurance companies are merely sending notices out to notify customers that their present policy is cancelled and a new one is replacing it that complies with the new ACA mandates and rules. Most are to simply add coverages and new language required under the new law. Very very few are higher in price, and many are lower.

We won't vote against Democrats because of the new healthcare law changes.

You may be correct, I don't know, but I know not in her case. I've been silent on the ACA because I did not want to get pulled into the hype. Before I pass judgment, I'll give it a year. Until then, I think it's wise to just share some stories if asked, state my opinion on the passage of the bill, and see what happens.

I still think you are looking wrong here. I already have good insurance and it will become more costly unfortunately.

Children will ultimately get the true life long "benefit" of extra expensive health care insurance. Health care itself will suck but at least it will cost more. Much more.

So keep whistling in the dark if it helps you take the shit easier.

this obama care failure is just another in a long line of democrat failures, the public is waking up to the fact that the dems are liars.

Nah, that is not true. Your party is so far in the hole you will never see daylight by nov. 2014. Your party is splitting three ways from sundays. T-Party could get booted, Cruz is being attacked, Harry Reid is being attacked in the senate, the religious right is all pissed off about being soft on abortions.

I don't see all that turmoil among dems.

...your boy should've fixed the economy FIRST, as he promised back in 2009, before rolling out the next disaster! I'm not surprised because what does a community organizer knows ANYTHING about running a business, let alone a country?

It seems these policies that are being affected is due to them not meeting the basic standards. In other words, if something happened to her, the insurance plan wouldn't cover her, she might end up in bankruptcy paying it herself, and what is left over tax payers would be picking it up. I think Skews plan didn't cover ambulance service. i do feel people will be more aware of what they have in their new plans than ever before. I wish everybody had 100% VA style care, or 100% national health care paid by taxes.

I love the fact that Democrats were fighting back today. Republicans look exactly what they are, during these "hearings"---hypocritical jackazzes!!!

I'll bet if you read his "cancelation" notice it says something about "transition". He's loaded and he has a cheap medical insurance policy? That's kinda weird.

Another detail, that doesn't get much traction is that I heard on the hearings today that a large number of insurance policies are canceled every year due to changes. Maybe that's the issue with your friend? In other words, some of these policies would have been canceled anyway due to business as usual.

Just 'cause YOU call something a failure doesn't mean much to the electorate. Have you seen your party's poll numbers lately? Presidents' popularity is over 50%. Keep lying to yourself. Enjoy the bubble, I'm sure it's warm and fuzzy in there.

Yes indeed, it is already working, and already predicted to cost you less for more coverage. I recall a time when Returds were pissing about the use of ERs and people not being insured, etc. Now you seem to have reversed direction.

The Affordable Care Act is already working: Intense price competition among health plans in the marketplaces for individuals has lowered premiums below projected levels. As a result of these lower premiums, the federal government will save about $190 billion over the next 10 years, according to our estimates. These savings will boost the health law’s amount of deficit reduction by 174 percent and represent about 40 percent of the health care savings proposed by the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform—commonly known as the Simpson-Bowles commission—in 2010.

Moreover, we estimate that lower premiums will lower the number of uninsured even further, by an additional 700,000 people, even as the number of individuals who receive tax credits will decline because insurance is more affordable.

In short, the Affordable Care Act is working even better than expected, producing more coverage for much less money.

You should tell yourself that. Our posts are based on facts. Your's are based on false talking points. The polls have made the Republicans less popular than dog sh1t. In fact, I think dog sh1t has gone up in the polls, you guys stink so bad.

That's what my letter about insurance read... changing to suit the requirements of the aca.... when those policies change I'm going to look at what I've gained and lost. Since my employer pays my insurance premiums I do not currently know what I pay.

Socialism and the socially progressive agenda is popular.....until you run out of other peoples money. Until young healthy males find their health care premiums are up in order to provide pap smears and mammograms for 50 year old women. When the bill for the free handouts comes due.

Yes, look at Christians and the Bible. And Bush's "Crusade" into the ME. Yeah we haven't forgot.

Hmm, weird form of ant-humanism, liberals who care for the poor & cons who rebuke them and will do nothing for their human condition. You seem to forget who the republican party represents these days. Corporatism is about as far anti-humanitarian as you can get. Giving profits to parasite third partys that should be going to workers wages. In any event, name me one thing the GOP has done for the American people in the last 20 years. And we know your language well, down size, off shore, reduction in force, out sourcing, etc. You fks murdered, tortured and raped women and children, and you have the audacity to talk about humanitarism? LMAO!

Yes, we know the unAmerican speel from the rightwing. You want individualism, move to Mexico. I notice all the other industrial countrys have youth that know they are paying for 50 year old women, what about it? They are patriots who care about their countrys and their people, and don't act like the spoiled adult-childs of the rightwing in America or whine about why me. Grow up! Or get the fk out and find yourself a constitution that doesn't start with WE THE PEOPLE.

I think the biggest problem I have thus far is that the president lied to our faces. He said we could keep our healthcare plans if we like them. Yet two years later, HHS passed a rule twisting the ACA to force insurance companies to be in compliance. I don't agree with how this was pushed through and Americans are being forced to purchase something they may not want.

The ACA has issues now because healthy people are choosing to pay the penalty and hope for the best rather than pay for insurance they don't need right now. It can benefit those who need it, but if you don't, it's just a government mandated expense.

Like I said, I'm still in the wait and see phase, but these are some issues I see surfacing now. I really wish it was a bipartisan effort and, even since it was not, it was not being touted as a political trophy.

It is not patriotic to build dependency in large segments of the population. Paying for the welfare of able bodied people, paying welfare to corporations, is not patriotic. Its parasitic. Its unsustainable. This is a ponzi scheme, the bill will come due.

Tell me the truth. Did you expect the current clusterfuk system to suddenly change to an efficient, cost effective, all encompassing garden of good that all Americans would benefit from?

What is the GOP healthcare plan?
