Not that I'm For Or Against Obamacare But...

Recommended Posts

But I feel that having some sort of mandatory deposit into IRAs would be a better investment for everyone, rather than the "maybe" payouts of future health benefits?

Thoughts?

I'll have to write more about this as I gather my thoughts.

A reasonable first post. Too bad it will soar over the head of many here.

Currently I pay &700 monthly and have a 1000 family deductible and a 20% co pay after that. Here are my options if I lose it.

Gold Plan 3 $2320.50 $2,500.00 $20 20%

108 Doctors including all specialties and therapists even though there are more than 1000 here.
Locked into Cigna because of age

To me that makes it the Unaffordable Care Act. The Bronze plan through all but 1 silver plan are almost like no insurance and you have to pay for it to boot. All cost so much more that I currently pay.

In the purest sense, thinking from a self-centered view, Obamacare is a financial disaster for familes at the middle to lower end of earnings. It will/has hurt the middle class a lot.

But from an overall sense, the redistritbution of "health wealth" will allow the "least" among us to have some coverage. Yes...some benefits will be taken from the wealthy to cover the poor,

but there is nothing wrong with evening the playing field.
