Golfboy
After the midterms... how convenient. Can someone tell me how this is legal? The law mandates this happen by January of next year, doesn't it? Why do they get to ignore their own law?http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-07-02/health-law-employer-mandate-said-to-be-delayed-to-2015.html Businesses won’t be penalized next year if they don’t provide workers health insurance after the Obama administration decided to delay a key requirement under its health-care law, two administration officials said. The decision will come in regulatory guidance to be issued later this week. It addresses vehement complaints from employer groups about the administrative burden of reporting requirements, though it may also affect coverage provided to some workers. The two officials, who asked not to be identified to discuss the move ahead of its announcement, said the administration decided to wait until 2015 before enforcing the employer mandate in order to simplify reporting requirements and give businesses more time to adapt their health-care coverage. The 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act includes financial penalties on businesses with more than 50 employees that fail to provide health insurance that meets minimum standards and tests for affordability. Even more proof of what a disaster this law has been for Americans: http://www.cnbc.com/id/100825782 Forty-one percent of the businesses surveyed have frozen hiring because of the health-care law known as Obamacare. And almost one-fifth—19 percent— answered “yes” when asked if they had “reduced the number of employees you have in your business as a specific result of the Affordable Care Act.”

threelefts
Gotta enjoy when you have a loser like the keyan as the pretend president and all it has to do is pander to democraps who cannot read. WTF though if kenyan kare is supposed to be soooo gooded for the economy why would they ever have to delay implementation for any of its provisions? Why would they have to front load kenyan kare by collecting taxes and not even begin any sort of implemtation until after the first 4 years stolen from America, the World, and the Universe? Why are all the costs rising so much when they were supposed to go down?

Golfboy
bush actually started Obamacare Care to explain that bit of loonacy? I think it will be interesting to see if any "Healthcare Advocate" is willing to sue the Government to enforce this law. I'd love to see some judge slap an injunction on the Administration, forcing them to enforce all provisions of this law. Don't forget, we had to pass it, to find out what was in it. Congratulations libs. Once again we see a liberal policy that is unworkable, and which had to be lied about in order to become law.

RichClem
The GOP's plan for helping our citizens w. their health insurance has been delayed until the Twelfth of never. A complete lie, as usual. Repubs have various Free Market proposals that would greatly help Americans. But better to do nothing than to do something destructively stupid, which Obamacare is. Bankrupt everyone, provide care to no one, and kill off the elderly with Death Panels all the while excluding the rich elite and muslims from having to use it. Golfboy
A complete lie, as usual. Repubs have various Free Market proposals that would greatly help Americans. But better to do nothing than to do something destructively stupid, which Obamacare is. Unfortunately the employer mandate was the ONE part of this that might have actually helped reduce costs, as it would force/incentivize employers to drop employees from their healthcare and push them into the private market where they would have to pay for their own insurance. Unfortunately liberals even screwed that up, but handing out federal money to people who buy their own insurance.

TxRanger
when I was in jail for a lil while, whenever we would start getting rowdy and start filing grievances, they would give us cake. This is Obama giving people cake before the midterms.
Golfboy
The really funny part of Obama suspending this part of the law for a year, is that only employers are exempted for the year. The IRS is still going to require each and every person in this country complies with the law. For liberals that won't understand what that means, employers who don't want to comply with Obamacare don't have to provide you insurance, and don't have to pay any fine, but YOU still have to go to the exchanges (that don't exist) and buy healthcare insurance. Once again, a liberal social policy hammers the poor and middle class.
