lefty
I guess we all better stop breathing then... No studies show we need it to grow . It's not really a poison , That's started by business , they wanted to scare people into buying detectors , and gas companies put that smell in it to charge you extra for the chemical . Carbon dioxide is actually good for you .
Nubber
Anything in the correct quantity/concentration/dosage is poisonous/polluting and/or lethal.

It's actually a pretty damn good fertilizer.....that would be CO detectors and CO2 is odorless

Carbon dioxide is actually good for you . Your thinking of Carbon Monoxide, or CO. Detectors are for CO, which is a harmful byproduct of combustion thats lethal in closed spaces. It blocks the hemoglobin in the blood and inhibits respiration. Gas companies sell Natural gas, or Methane (CH4) is not the same as CO or CO2. I think you're pretty confused here

Moonbat
Carbon dioxide is good for you without it we couldn't exist Its good for plants, without it plants wouldn't exist, which means we wouldn't exist either, but technically, its not good for US
NaughtyWord
Most elements are, in proper concentrations, levels, and dosages is not only harmless but necessary in terms of allowing life on this planet. CO2 Or carbon dioxide, is technically a poison to human beings and most animal life, however if there were none available, it would kill us albeit indirectly. The normal pH level of rainwater is 5 to 6. Acid rain is often a pH of 4 and in some places it's as low as 2. Rainwater when mixed with high concentrations of CO2 makes H2CO3 orCarbonic Acid. In industrial applications sulfur is often a byproduct, if that's abundant in an atmosphere and mixed with rainwater it creates H2SO3 or Sulfuric Acid. Both of which are powerful enough to destroy vegetation, cause mass die offs of fish, poison ground water, etc. -NW

What to Make of a Warming Plateau Rungroj Yongrit/Agence France-Presse A storm gathered over Bangkok. By JUSTIN GILLIS Published: June 10, 2013As unlikely as this may sound, we have lucked out in recent years when it comes to global warming. The rise in the surface temperature of earth has been markedly slower over the last 15 years than in the 20 years before that. And that lull in warming has occurred even as greenhouse gases have accumulated in the atmosphere at a record pace. The slowdown is a bit of a mystery to climate scientists. Much of the mystery lies in the oceans' heat sink effect and cloud reflectivity. Those two are HUGE factors to not understand when making predictions. lefty
We have people burning rain forest and jungle to clear for farming , even land the country and the UN say are protected are being destroyed around the world. The dioxide is out producing oxygen , without balance we die . So really there's no reason to worry . Like climate change
