Republican Hypocrisy, Part IX... infrastructure

Recommended Posts

Presenting episode IX of the 24-part series that highlights the blatant hypocrisy of the GOTP. Everything presented thus far, and all that is yet to follow, demonstrates that the rethugs are more than happy to abandon policies that are good for our nation because America elected a Democrat of African ethnic heritage it's President.

We've seen the forum minions twist and spin and dance and make all kinds of excuses, utilize projection and adolescent tactics like "Nana-nana-boo-boo!" taunts. But they have not, for they cannot, escape the cloud of hypocrisy that hovers over their heads.

hypocrite |hip' e krit| noun

1. a person who puts on a false premise of virtue or religion

2. a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

Infrastructure Spending

Republicans have always believed in strong infrastructure, until now. Republicans used the power of the federal government to build the railroads in the 1860′s and 1870′s, the Panama Canal in the beginning of the 20th century, and the interstate highway system in the 1950′s. Yet when President Obama called for new infrastructure spending to improve America’s crumbling roads and bridges and to improve our rail lines, Republicans immediately reversed their long-held belief in a strong American infrastructure. Why? Because they hate President Obama and oppose everything he believes in, even if it was once a part of the Republican platform.

Infrastructure was supposed to have been addressed via the "shovel-ready" jobs promised in the stimulus package. Can you explain Rebel,>>>>>>>in detail if you can<<<<<<<<<< what happened to all that "shovel-ready" money that was supposed to have been plowed back into our infrastructure? Take your time. You're going to need to.

Yep. They fought tooth and nail for a bridge to nowhere. Now they don't support any bridge, highway or rail system.

Kinda like our current Landslide to Nowhere. Obama won, but what did he win? Still waiting for Rebel to tell us where the "shovel-ready" infrastructure jobs and spending went. Stay tuned!

Your series is falling flat....

Only in the minds of the right wingnut minions who, as of yet, are incapable of providing any rational excuse for their blatant hypocrisy other than their angry "There's a black democrat in the white house!" retort.

You know goddamned well they are being filibustered by the senate rethuglicans who will not allow any meaningful policies that will create jobs and enhance our economy to take effect so long as there is a dark-skinned democrat in the white house.

Thanks for another fine example of how your ilk indulges in hypocrisy.

Your disco dancing aside, (and I feel like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin waiting for an answer) what, exactly, happened to all that stimulus money that was supposed to go to creating "shovel-ready" jobs in infrastructure improvement?

You're the one dancing. I've merely presented the fact that republicans once supported infrastructure spending before a Democrat of African ethnic heritage was elected POTUS, and you cannot do anything other than make lame excuses. Thanks, again, for so eloquently proving my point.

Republicans also supported the ill-fated "shovel-ready jobs" infrastructure bailout and all we are asking is where the money went. Sit out this dance and tell us!

Irony.
