Str8tEdge
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financialcrisis/10090829/Eurozone-unemployment-rate-hits-record-high.html According to figures from Eurostat, the jobless rate ticked up to 12.2pc in April from 12.1pc in March, with the statistics office estimating that 19.4m people in the eurozone were unemployed in April. The highest increases were registered in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal. Separately on Friday, data showed that Italy's jobless rate reached a 36-year high in April of 11.9pc. Those figures came as protestors from the so-called "Blockupy" anti-capitalism movement surrounded the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, where they are protesting against ECB debt policy, food price speculation and poor labour practices in the clothing industry. Fears that Europe is facing a 'lost generation' were underlined by the youth unemployment rate standing at 24.4pc in the eurozone during April. Almost two-thirds of youngsters are unemployed in Greece while more than half are jobless in Spain. The interesting point besides their large social welfare nets dragging their economies down is that huge number of youth unemployment.... Austerity is what is dragging their economies down. That has already been proven. It is also the reason for that high unemployment. Try to keep up. Try to keep up. And WHY would they need austerity???? Could it be the banks are forcing them to pay back some of their PREVIOUS DEBT because their debt to GDP ratios are economically unhealthy?????? Remember screws, they don't have the worlds reserve currency. They are at the mercy of the banks.

Try to keep up. "Proven" lies the troll. Are you folks brought to the DNC and programmed by the thousands? What's the definition of "austerity" in the troll dictionary? Higher spending and higher taxes.
William1444
European austerity was caused by "conservatives" who refused to balance their budgets by making the rich pay the same tax rate schedules with no loopholes just like the middle class working men and women are forced to pay, here. Plus, just as in this country, corporations have moved jobs to bottom of the barrel countries to get slave labor and produce crap to sell in wal mart and not have to pay import taxes on manufactured crap. And just like here where republicans want to bring in illegals for cheap labor, Europe brings in cheap laborers such as muslims which also allows Europeans to be racists just like here which causes race and religious hatred just like here. Duhhhhh.
Str8tEdge
Last time I checked fiscal responsibility was a conservative principle. It's not like either democrats or republican politicians actually do anything their respective ideologies and principles account for.... That's a HUGE factor in what's caused the current political discourse...... Democratic politicians aren't doing what their constituents call for, republican politicians the same thing and instead of parties actually HOLDING their elected representatives accountable?????????? They blame the other parties constituents....... You guys are blaming each other while ALL your politicians are marching to a different drum.
