BIgO
When Bush was spying on everyone and violating the 4th amendment the CONS had no problem with it. Cheney said, "If you haven't done anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about. This "revelation" about illegal eavesdropping by the NSA is nothing new. It came to light in the media in 2005. Here's my stance: It was wrong under Bush and it's wrong under Obama or should I say George W Obama? Let's look at this logically. They Muslims have known that everything everyone does is being monitored and the NSA knows that they know that. Anyone who is up to no good knows that so why is the NSA spying on everyone in this Orwellian manner? They are doing it for the same reason them military industrial complex creates weapons of war that are already obsolete... MONEY. A large % of the creeps doing the spying are private contractors the same as the creeps committing war crimes in the Middle East eg. Cheney's Haliburton and Blackwater. It's about the money. Back to you lying CON scum... You had no problem when Bush was doing it but you have a problem with Obama doing it. If Obama were not Black you CON trash would hate Al Gore more but here is what Al Gore had to say on Bigger Fatter Politics.
Golfboy
Bush was watching terrorists. Obama is watching Americans. You're too ignorant to understand the difference.

Golfboy
Bush was an idiot. Well, I guess when you can't talk about the facts, resorting to liberals bumper sticker slogans is about the best we can expect.
antiglobalist
This is the problem. The repubs are right to be pissed about this, but as the op said, they loved it under Bush. Now we have the dems defending this but they were rightly pissed when Bush was doing it. It's pretty pathetic both sides do this

When Bush was doing this, he was only listing to conversation with suspected terrorists OUTSIDE the country. Obama has expanded the program and is now listening to ALL AMERICANS. Trying to make a moral equivalence argument between the two programs is absurd. Bush adhered to the Constitution. Obama is not.

antiglobalist
Again. When Bush was doing this, he was only listing to conversation with suspected terrorists OUTSIDE the country. Obama has expanded the program and is now listening to ALL AMERICANS. Trying to make a moral equivalence argument between the two programs is absurd. Bush adhered to the Constitution. Obama is not. that is simply not true the data has been being collected since 2001 and that's probably bs. I would bet it has been going on since the 60s. Bush violated the constitution but on s smaller scale

Shame Bush didn't get a third term, so we could see him take a principled stand against his security advisers.
