FORT HOOD, Texas A military judge says she'll decide next week whether to delay the Fort Hood shooting suspect's trial after hearing more about his strategy to defend himself for the 2009 attack that killed 13 people.

Maj. Nidal Hasan is seeking a three-month delay to prepare for his "defense of others" strategy. It requires him to prove the shootings were necessary to protect others from imminent harm or death. Hasan says U.S. troops deploying from the Texas Army post posed an immediate danger to Taliban fighters.

LOL!

I guess the Taliban are part of the US military's workplace.

Two points.

First. This terrorist is still on the US payroll.

To date, preparations for the trial of accused Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan have cost the government at least $278,000 — and that's just in the salary that Hasan received since the 2009 massacre.
NBC's Dallas affiliate, KXAS, reports that Hasan, who at the time of the shooting was working as an Army psychiatrist, has continued to receive his salary for the past 42 months.

See the way Obama's version of fighting the War On Terror works, folks?

This mass murdering terrorist (he killed 13) gets paid while the victims of his attack do not.

That brings me to point TWO.

Despite the fact that Hasan shouted "God is great" in Arabic before opening fire, Obama classified this as "workplace violence".

Understand, he's not on trial for terrorism.

For that reason, none of the shooting victims received combat related pay … nor are they eligible for a purple heart benefits.

Maybe this is what Obama means by "social justice".

1. Did Nidal think he was getting a Muslim jihadist judge ?

2. Is he getting a jury trial ? If so, what if one person on that jury is a devout Muslim ? Will they (very properly) disqualify that person, or would they be afraid to (not wanting to discriminate against a religion) ?

If one of the jurors is a muslim, he won't tell anyone. It's in their beliefs that deception is encouraged if it defeats infidels.

Knowing if potential jurors are Muslim, should be the the # 1 task of the prosecution. Is this going to be a jury trial ?

Just another way for Barry & Company to insult the victims and their families. Come on now, are you surprised?

Uh Oh; be prepared for a surprise witness. Maybe it was an accidental firearm discharge. Sleep walking? Difficult childhood?

FORT HOOD, Texas (Reuters) - Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan cannot argue at trial that he was defending the Afghan Taliban when he opened fire in a 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, that killed 13 people, a military judge ruled on Friday.

"There was no evidence that there was any immediate threat to others from your fellow soldiers," Colonel Tara Osborn said, denying Hasan's request to use the defense as he represents himself at his upcoming trial on 13 counts of first-degree murder.

LOL! So the government isn't going to let Hasan admit he was a terrorist.
