Golfboy
Why would anyone buy insurance under Obamacare and pay monthly premiums, before they need treatment? You'd have to be an idiot to do that... http://www.cnbc.com/id/100783056 There's no assurance folks will be buying insurance under Obamacare, and that could spell trouble for the Affordable Care Act. Nearly two-thirds of Americans who currently lack health insurance don't know yet if they will purchase that coverage by the Jan. 1 deadline set by the ACA, a new survey revealed Monday. And less than half of those in the surveyreleased by InsuranceQuotes.com think they'll get better health care after Obamacare takes full effect. Nearly 50 percent believe the ACA will make it more difficult for them to get tests and procedures done in a timely manner, according to the phone survey of 1,001 adult Americans conducted in early May. And a whopping 68 percent of low-income Americans aren't sure they qualify for tax credits that would subsidize their purchase of health insurance—despite they fact that they almost invariably will qualify, the survey found. That population is most likely to benefit from government subsidies under the health-care reform law.

Golfboy
then they will pay the penalty/tax Which is MUCH lower than the premiums of Obamacare. Again, who's stupid enough to voluntarily pay these premiums when the law specifically was written so you cannot be excluded? Call from the ambulance on the way to the hospital and sign up, then when you leave the hospital, cancel your policy. Simple as that. Oh great! What a surprise that 68% of low-income Americans are idiots, right? After all, these are the people that put Obama in power.

Obamacare says you CANNOT be refused coverage. Period. They cannot turn you down. And they cannot keep you from cancelling after services are provided and paid for by the insurance companies. byebyecons
I'm sure a lot of folks are waiting to see what the rates will be for coverage in their states once the exchanges are available in October. Not sure myself if I will buy a policy. It would have to be pretty reasonable premiums for me to give up my socialist VA coverage.
ObummerStinks
Going to be even less with the pre-condition aspect flopping. That was one of the only decent things in this crooked endeavour, so it really shouldn't be surprising I suppose. Barry's a giant failure, as is his "signature" legislation. Not sure myself if I will buy a policy. It would have to be pretty reasonable premiums for me to give up my socialist VA coverage. The Administration has already said they can't make the October deadline. If they do indeed miss that date, they will have broken this law once again. I'm constantly amazed by how uninformed supporters of the healthcare law are. The Obama administration is delaying the start of a key piece of the Affordable Care Act. Workers in small businesses will have to wait an additional year to be able to choose from more than one plan in the marketplaces that start next January. The delay — first proposed in regulations issued last monthand confirmed earlier this week — is the first acknowledgment by the administration that it won't be able to meet the tight timetable it has set to get these health exchanges up and running by October 1, when enrollment is set to begin. The delay has disappointed some backers of the law. "A major selling point of the small business exchange is that small business owners will be able to simply select a particular level of coverage that they want their employees to have, and then their employees will have the ability to choose from multiple plans within that level of coverage," says John Arensmeyer, CEO of the advocacy group Small Business Majority. We should work on the VA care problem, because it is complete BS they are charging some of you people for medical. Which VA care problem are you talking about, cost or the fact that wait times have doubled under Obama, and that it takes almost a year now just to find out if they will give you coverage for your particular illness?
