Green Disaster… Obama Is Spending $5.5 Million Per Green Energy Job

Barack Obama spent $90 billion on Green Energy Jobs creating only 16,100 jobs.
That comes out to $5.5 million per job.

There are no green energy disasters. Only fossil fuel disasters. Green energy is the energy of the future. Fossil fuel is not. You can take that oil soaked penis out of your mouth now.

Good point; most green energy companies fail long before any damage can occur. Time for another go at an 800 pound battery. Alternate energy sources are a great idea; BUT IT CANNOT AND WILL NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT; regardless of how many billions are flushed down the toilet. No more than Edison could have jumped from the wax cylinder to digital recording over night. It don't ( short of a feckin miracle ) work that way.

Corporatism is OK for progressives as long as it fits their agenda.

I'm all for alternative energy, but the long list of green energy failures have cost the taxpayers ALOT of money.......you, me, our children, our grandchildren, their grandchildren etc as the can continues to be kicked.......is a bit disconcerting, especially when one starts to look at the political connections. I'd love nothing more than to see oil worth $5/barrel, but that's not going to happen now, in the present.

Don't you think instead of flushing billions and billions of taxpayer money down the drain, along with all the green energy jobs that went with all of these failures - it may have been wiser to develope alternative energies to the point of sustainability? Clearly with the sheer volume of green energy failures, the volumes of taxpayer money vanishing into thin air - there's a better way to go about it?

Until a super efficient light weight safe storage battery is developed & real time solar systems are available, it's all moot - academic. Real time meaning, necessary solar power on demand and no battery go between , except for night; and that battery must charge quickly - hold the charge - and be able to handle freezing weather without losing efficiency. And so, we have the feckin 800 pound ( what a feckin projectile ) battery.

Fisker Karma Is First Car To Burn Underwater

The plight of the infamous, and quite inflammable, Fisker Karma (not to mention its now defaulted battery vendor A123) has been extensively documented on these pages in the past. Today, we bring it up again, to observe a curious extra feature which its proud buyers may have been unaware of. It appears that, as Jalopnik reports, the car only free government loans with a 0% (or even negative) IRR hurdle rate could conceive, is now the first one to proudly announce it is the only one of its type that merrily burns down... while submerged underwater. We fully expect that the next generation of Fiskers will charge at least $995 for this non-optional standard feature. In other news, perhaps it is time for Karma to issue yet another comprehensive total recall of all of its cars due to "fire risk" - the last one seems to have missed a spark plug or two: they can say this is a recall for the risk of "burning down alive while fully submerged undewater."

From Jalopnik:

Approximately 16 of the $100,000+ Fisker Karma extended-range luxury hybrids were parked in Port Newark, New Jersey last night when water from Hurricane Sandy’s storm surge apparently breached the port and submerged the vehicles. As Jalopnik has exclusively learned, the cars then caught fire and burned to the ground.

Our source tells us they were “first submerged in a storm surge and then caught fire, exploded.” This wouldn’t be the first time the vehicles, which use a small gasoline engine to charge batteries that provide energy to two electric motors, had an issue with sudden combustion.

That's the same amount eclectic skeptic thinks walmart should pay their workers.
