my favorite character is the imp...that dude deserves the academy award.

The books are among my all time favorites. I don't have television but was pleased to see the story got picked up and made into a TV show. Tyrion Lannister may one day sit the Iron Throne. It's looking a little doubtful about Danys Targaryon.

naw I have my money squarely on the dragon lady! queen of dragons and all of westeros!

I have not read the books...I dont think I want to till the tv series ends.

I read wildcards years ago by george rr martin. so I am convinced they would be an excellent read...but when comparing movies to the books they never hold a candle to them...and I dont want to know what happens.

something that did not make sence to me...I thought sansa stark went off with the hound in the previous episode...but she was back in court for the final epi....I must have missed something

It may be years before the next book comes out. George is a little slow but each one is better than the last so we forgive him for that.

Dany is still in the running as is Tyrion and a new face that you may not know about yet. I never had any faith that Sansa would amount to anything. This is pure speculation but she may marry someone else important someday. Young Arya Stark is also becoming a force to be reckoned with. A few other characters that could have been in line for the throne are out of the race. But I wouldn't dream of spoiling it for anyone.

Whoever gains the Iron Throne will be strong and dangerous. Daenerys Targaryon is both and she has been my favorite for years.

I hate George R. R. Martin. I remember when I first picked up A Game of Thrones. The years of waiting after Feast did me in. I bought the latest book, but haven't even read it yet because I know it will be awhile before the next come out. I am slowly rereading the entire series. I really want to check out the TV series but haven't wanted to spend the money yet. My money for the final outcome is Daenerys Targaryon and Jon Snow in an alliance to turn back the Others.

I've read all the books released so far, but I'm put off by the tv series a little, the sex scenes are unneeded, and some aren't in the book, I want to watch this with friends, but then there's sudden sex scenes that are in your face, just turning a political drama into a soft core porn movie.

I've never seen the series, or read the books. I guess I'm waiting for the series to be over and then I'll get the dvds and watch all episode in a week or something. I'm afraid I might like it, but then I have to wait for a new season.

I didn't read the books, either, but I bet it takes fire, to destroy all those zombies, so the ice is doomed as doomed, can be. By now, you know that boy Rob and his Mom are blowing it, so down they go.

Smart-aleck Jamie Lannister is going to found a race of warrior-white people, so we need racial balance, in Westeros.

I think the show should hire more Americans. They already have Peter Dinklage, who looks like a dwarf-version, of former Notre Dame-NFL QB Rick Mirer, I believe. That cousin-kid looks like a mini-Clay Matthews, a USC and GB Packers-LB. So tell you what. That little black pirate guy needs to doink the Lord of Light's priestess, and one or two weeks later, out pops a shadow-killer, played by Eddie Griffin.

Eddie kills anybody, who he doesn't smoke and get pregnant. The zombies all catch on fire, trying to get Eddie and his little killers. The ice melts. The sea rises. Kevin Costner sails up, on any old boat he made, squishes a fish, and repopulates Westeros, with web-foot athletes.

The shadow people do it, and a load of little, web-foot killas, played by De'Anthony the Momba and all them fast boys, up in Duck-berg. Then there's another season, when I figger it out, but it involves Daenerys finally getting her dragons hurling, to BBQ some web-foots, which fluffs Eddie up, and he knocks up whichever fire-lizard is a girly, and their descendants make really sure there's global warming and lots of death, for darned near anybody.

Or, we could put Republicans back in charge of the Senate AND House, like Obamney seems to want, which is due, by 2012-13.

GOT is replaying, just now, 9/22-23/12. Catch up on all those back eps, before Red Wedding, etc., so you understand where the foreshadowing is taking us, i.e. over to the shadow-killer zone.

How many ways can Stark protagonists blow it, before all the way to Rob get bumped off? Oh, look, let's chase the dwarf and piss off Jamie, with all the houses just aching to get back, to killing. Starks get stabbed is a lot of the first three books, from the look of things.

Add me to the list of GoT addicts. In between seasons I read enough to catch up to the show. Fills a lot of holes, gives back ground on characters as well, but there are some stark differences that make the read a little difficult. I'd list some but I don't want anyone to get upset if they felt it gives something away.

Trust me the books are better. And, especially in season 2, the story is not quite the same.

There are surprises yet to come in the Game of Thrones. There is one new character that I think will surpass Dany and win the throne or at least share it with her. The new character doesn't emerge until the fifth book A Dance with Dragons.

Sansa never left with the Hound, she refused going with him. But someone else meets up with the Hound.

Hi everyone I am Nubber and I am addicted. As I sit here typing this I am watching season 2, again, and am almost finished copy of the second book on the table near-by. I am counting the days until 3/31. My favorite charaters are Tyrion, Arya, Osha, Jorah Mormont, Sandor Claygane, Bronn and Varys. I am curios what Theon's men are going to do with him and when the white walkers are going to start messing shit up.

This is sad, my last post about his I was getting close to finishing the second book. Here I two months later and I finished the fifth book about a week ago all while in my last semester as a full time history major (I read a lot). Book three was awesome as should the third season be. Book four kind-of dragged but book five was much better. My only complaint now is that there is still so much up in the air at the end of book five and book six is nowhere to be seen. I am somewhat disappointed with Danerys. She was all ambitious in the first two book and then just seemed to say fuck it. I also don't really like that so many character's stories just seem to end. They don't die but just disappear. I understand that there are way too many characters to keep with but there are a lot of people that are just gone or barely mentioned.
