Str8tEdge posted a topic in No Holds Barred Political ForumHere's why I LOVE business. 1. It promotes the MOST efficient use of resources. In other words, YOU the consumer, get to choose what and how much of a product/service you would like produced at the cheapest price. For instance, the environment has been a huge issue over the last decade so what has business done? You'd be hard pressed to find a product or service that doesn't mention what they do help "save" the environment. No government forcing necessary. ****Now this doesn't include when government and business colludes to inhibit competition as competition is what's so beneficial about business to begin for society. It also doesn't include government subsidies. Anytime the government picks a winner? The consumer is a loser. There should be ONE acid test to ANY government regulation. Does it promote competition? If it doesn't it shouldn't be written. 2. Natural balance. I keep hearing all you doped up retards babble about how "evil" business owners are taking advantage of their employees...... Well if this were REALLY the case, the business wouldn't be able to retain employees, therefore lose profitability and eventually go out of business. There's a natural balance of supply and demand. If you have no skills and no education you're a dime a dozen, AKA extremely high supply which also leads to LOW wages/hours and benefits. In contrast, if you have a high demand set of skills and/or education, you're in short supply which leads to HIGH wages/hours and benefits. There's no reason for the government to get involved in the natural balancing act of business. Want to make MORE money???? It's YOUR job to increase your skills and/or education. Not your employers to simply hand you money with no benefit. Not happy with the job you accepted voluntarily? Go apply for other jobs. If you're over qualified you shouldn't have any problem finding a job more "suitable" for you. If you find yourself whining and complaining about your job and benefits? Go look in the mirror for the problem.
So.... we still hear about how good OWS could have been for society but one thing I've NEVER gotten a logical/rational response on is WHAT would you replace the FED with? You going to let congress oversee the banks????? That's why(part of the reason) the FED was created in the first place...... To keep political influence out of banking and monetary policy. So let's see if we can get ONE logical/rational replacement for FED.
