  2. Here is one of my political theory's; 1. Within thee past 60-100 years, has the United States of America become better or worse Overall Morally and Ethically? 2. Within thee past 60-100 years, has thee United States of America become more Liberal Democratic, or more Conservative Republican? 3. So what has been the problem within America Politics Morally and Ethically, for the past 60-100 years? I've asked at least over 50 people these questions. I've asked Socialists, Democrats, Liberals, Moderates, Libertarians, Republicans, and Conservatives, and 2 out of 50 disagreed with this. Thee other 48 or more answered it like this; 1. Worse Overall Morally, and Ethically. 2. The United States has become a lot more Liberal Democratic with the past 60-100 years. 3. The Liberal Democrats have been the problem in American Politics, Morally and Ethically.
  3. Hi, I'm new here. I'm really looking forward to getting to know others here and having some lively, interesting discussions. At the moment, though, I could really use a place to vent... please forgive me if this is not the right place, and I'll move along. Although I live in an area known to be heavily liberal (Southern California), I live in a small rural town that is extremely conservative (and about 50 years behind the rest of the country). My family (except for my sister, my aunt, my uncle, and a couple of cousins—coincidentally, anyone who had an education beyond high school) is all very conservative, and sometimes it drives me nuts. My dad was diagnosed with cancer last year, so I moved back in with my parents to help them out while he goes through it, so I hear anti-liberal stuff every day. Mostly, I ignore it (and do my own fact checking later based on the things my dad claimed, almost always discovering what he believes is political news is just highly inaccurate propaganda), but these days I'm just feeling so alone and agitated by the constant liberal-bashing and verbal Trump worshiping around here. To demonstrate the conservativeness of this town: I was working at the local market the day of Trump's inauguration. Every other customer had a MAGA hat on and a huge smile; one man bought almost $200 worth of steak to celebrate, and one guy actually said "Thank the good Lord that black guy is outta the White House!" Being what feels like the sole liberal in town, I usually just shut my mouth and let it all go—I know speaking up would just result in them all verbally descending upon me like a pack of hungry lions, and even when I do present the facts they're almost always dismissed as "liberal propaganda." The upside to this, though, is that I'm so concerned about myself falling into the trap of confirmation bias that I do far more research on topics than is probably necessary just to make sure I have reliable facts on which to base my opinions. I think the thing that drives me crazy more than anything is how often my dad posts stuff on Facebook that's misleading, inaccurate, or just flat out false. Fox News is his Holy Scripture, and anything that doesn't totally crap on liberals is an "unreliable source." It's disturbing to see how often his friends comment calling for violence against liberals, some even boasting that they'd be super happy to murder liberals if only it wasn't against the law. But then again, I see a lot of his friends comment with calls for violence against Muslims, blacks, Latinxs, non-Christians, LGBT, and pretty much anyone who isn't straight, white, Christian, and conservative. I unfollowed my dad from Facebook a long time ago (I can't bring myself to block him, since I know he puts a lot of personal stock in Facebook and would be very offended if I did), but it worries me that he spreads false information so freely. Anyway, sorry this is so long-winded. I just need a place where I feel a bit less alone for not being a conservative.
  4. Who but God could be messing up ONE party so much and giving the OTHER such a huge advantage ? God has got to be a liberal Democrat !
  5. What is your favorite political parody? Comedy is important to politics because it seems like comedians can be more honest about politics through comedy. People on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, all hold back on some of their stronger opinions because they cannot be blatantly honest and they have a formula they have to follow. Comedy allows people to be free. What is your favorite political parody? This is mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSnMSrXzMpA It is of a man who claims to be a tea party member singing about how President Obama doesn't love America.
