Would you support a constitutional amendment to end political parties, to end donations to political candidates and politician no matter how much money is being donated, to place a cap on how much money a politician can have, and to place term limits on the members of Judicial and Legislative branch? Why or why not? *To campaign candidates would either: A) be given money by the government(local, state, or federal depending on which level the candidate is running for) gain popularity by numerous public debates that are about 3 hours long in a format of 1.Opening statement, which is reason why they believe their positions are true. 2.Rebuttal, which is when they will attempt to refute each others arguments. 3.Cross examination which is when the candidates will question each other. 4. Then receive questions from the audience and answer them. *Congress will only have 6 terms and the Senate will only 2 terms. The Judges will only serve 8 years. *Every politician will be allowed to have up to $500,000. Any more will result in lifetime in prison I can go deeper in detail but i hope you get the idea. Your opinions? What do you think? Would you support these things? Why or why not?
Who is ... "justmakesense"? I am a white, conservative, pastor, male, raised in an all white small town in California as a non-Christian. I should, by these pre-existing factors be far from a free thinker. But if there is one thing I've learned from studying the Bible and comparing it to those who profess to be Christians, it is that many who call thenselves Christians misinterpret the scriptures in the light of their own prejudices. For those who study the Bible as a blank slate to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus, great people emerge. But when people take their own prejudices and interpret the Bible through that filter, hypocrates emerge. If a Bible student is honest and studying the Bible free from predetermined thinking or predetermined indoctrination, they will see an absolute fair and equitable teaching. A true "Freethinker" can be from any background and any belief and any nationality, and if diligent to put self interests aside and appreciate facts and truths for what they are and before their own opinions, a right and good community can exist. A perfect community can never exist until love for all permeates all leadership and decision making. What is a "Freethinker"? Full Definition of FREETHINKER: one who forms his or her own opinions about important subjects (such as religion and politics) instead of accepting what other people say... I would go one step further and add, : ...what you feel and seems to be best for you" justmakesense
