  1. Interesting. Yeh, this is very characteristic of Trump
  2. All terrible presidents will avoid responsibility for the bad things that happened during their term in office and take credit for the good things that happened after. You see it with Bush blaming the Recession on Obama and Nixon taking credit for the moon landing. Trump must be seriously deluded to think that if it wasn't for him the vaccine would've taken 5 years to come up with. Beautiful shot? More like dementia shot
  3. Wow, almost exactly 2 years ago... I'm not sure quite what to say. I'm honored that someone was this passionate about my work, all the way back near the beginning of my career. They do seem a little unhinged, but ultimately it takes all kinds to make a world. I'm glad I searched my name on here, you never know where I'll be discussed, from Something Awful to Know Your Meme. Pretty cool. I don't know if I'm the big Liberal voice this poster claims I am, though I do try my best to spread my political beliefs to the best of my ability. I believe that's my responsibility as an American, to ensure that elections are held fairly and that voters are informed. As a dedicated Liberal I'm happy to call myself one. My politics are an integral part of my work and I always vote on important issues in my local area, as well as participating in the community. I don't know if you're a Denverite, nogodforme, or if you're from Arkansas like you say. If you're from Arkansas, I'm sure you're struggling with the culture and struggles around you. Must be pretty awful to be a Democrat in a red state. I can't even begin to imagine how crazy that must be. Just know that as long as cartoonists like myself are around, we'll do our best to counteract the harmful ideas espoused by the Right. In Comics We Trust! This one's for you, nogodforme, wherever you are out there
  4. I don't know about that. Orwell wasn't a socialist, he was a mentally ill Conservative who was raised in an upper-class military family, defended and participated in the atrocities of the British Empire, defended exploitative Capitalism and took shots at Communism whenever he could. He didn't think poor people were the coolest, although he was known to go slumming and make fun of the poor people. My new film exposes the lies and deceptive practices employed by Orwell to cut right to the truth- that he was an idiot with a persecution complex and fettucine for brains who had no idea what he was talking about. Considering what a joke of a person he was, I wouldn't be surprised if things would get pretty steamy if he and Rand were in the same room. I can see the two of them complimenting each other on their brilliance, megalomaniacs in heat. My movie is pretty plausible, all things considered. At the most they might get into a lover's spat...
  5. Yeh, she is very characteristic of the old Russia, prior to the Bolshevik revolution, what with the royalty and the Czar and whatnot. I read chapter 1 of We The Living and it was so abysmal that I couldn't read another chapter. Poor delusional weirdo doesn't have the faintest clue what she's talking about But yeh, I think she would really be into George Orwell if she ever met him
  6. In my recent movie I pose this question. The two were basically contemporaries, they were both delusional, they both felt alienated by society, and their books are both beloved by Conservative think tanks. I see the usual lineup praising both 1984 and Atlas Shrugged on a regular basis- Dennis Prager, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, and the Koch brothers treat both authors like experts on political theory. I feel that if they had met in real life they would have hit it off instantly. They wree both self-absorbed, but maybe they could bond over that. What are your thoughts on this? Is an Orwell/Rand relationship plausible? In my movie they're the main couple, whereas Richard Nixon is kind of a third wheel/voyeur who has a slight crush on Rand but never really makes the move because he knows Rand is more into Orwell.
