  1. I am surprised that the media and public are so very quiet about this....this is HUGE and yet, no public discourse at all. This has the potential to dissolve national sovereignty in favor of multi-national corps, this would do much more damage than any foreign invasion or group of terrorists could ever DREAM of achieving. Anyone who thinks of Obama as a good leader and supports him should be questioning this...there is NOTHING transparent about this process at all and I would love to hear from anyone who thinks Obama can be defended on this issue. Adding this link..its Lori Wallach, director of Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch discussing the details of this http://www.democracynow.org/2013/10/4/a_corporate_trojan_horse_obama_pushes I want to call attention to a particular exerpt So, the TPP includes the very controversial investor-state system, which empowers individual corporations to directly sue governments—not in our courts, but in extrajudicial tribunals where three corporate attorneys act as "judges," and these guys rotate between being the judge and being the guys suing the government for the corporation. They’re empowered to give unlimited cash damages from us, the taxpayers, to these corporations for any government action—a regulatory issue, environment, health, safety—that undermines the investor’s expected future profits. Under that system, big tobacco companies have been attacking health regulations. And famously—infamously—these kinds of investor-state cases have extracted billions of dollars and undermined important laws. So, Philip Morris has used this to attack Australia, one of the TPP country’s plain-packaging-of-cigarette laws. So, a lot of the TPP countries are very worried that they would be basically handcuffed from being able to regulate for health around tobacco So if the public passes any law or regulation that inteferres with their profits, they can SUE the taxpayers and make you give them money.....so if you pass a regulation that says you cant sell fish that comes from contaminated ponds, you can be sued for that and made to PAY the corp for not allowing them to sell contaminated fish in your markets. You also cant pass any regulation to indicate where this fish came from either, that would also hurt profits. Seriously, this thing is diabolical and Obama is neck deep in this..this is as evil as it gets. NAFTA is nothing more than a bruise when compared to this massacre......
  2. They didnt even get the ball rolling...the simply seized what was already created by powerful nations of that time. You might as well give Hitler credit for America's standing in the world, it was after ww2 the US gained the most power globally....afterall, he got that ball rolling right? I wasnt speaking DIRECTLY TO YOU, if I was, I wouldve quoted you. I was speaking in general about this thread subject.....get your head out of your ass once in a while.
  3. Actually it was the nations they came from that got the ball rolling...the didnt start from scratch! So now there is EVEN MORE in common with North Korea...giving credit for things they didnt actually do.
  4. Gee it seems the US has much in common with North Korea...both countries worship dead leaders and pretend what those long dead leaders "think" should still count and be considered.
  5. Its rather pathetic, even for a narcissist if their main supply is a message board......
  6. I dont accept the premise that "progressives" hate christians and defend muslims. I think different issues get muddled up into some "package". I dont see people hating "christians", but there are many who hate that some christian factions attempt to get religion taught in science classes and insinuate themselves into the public sphere (blue laws, issues about birth control and abortion, stem cell research etc). I dont hate an entire "group" because they dont have one hive mind...some christians are wonderful people and others are horrid, just as is found in every group. Muslims arent having that same impact in western developed nations. You claim that progressives defend muslims, but I think what often happens is that defense of middle eastern nations to NOT BE INVADED is construed as defense of "muslims" and that defense of the middle east nations sovereign rights has nothing to do with defending any particular religion. Certainly the muslim religion along with the christian and the jewish ones are all silly to me.....but muslims dont have power in the western world, christians do.... so I expect the religious battle in the west would be between the secular minded (and many of those are christians) and the more extreme christians who think religion should play a role in govt and laws that all would be held to regardless if they believe or not. I dont see that muslims even get a seat at the table regarding this.
  7. The poor wouldnt be able to pay that deductible but it will reduce the amount the tax payer has to pay for that bill....without that insurance the taxpayer ends up on the hook for the ENTIRE bill rather than just 12 grand of it.
  8. As I figured, you got nothing....just your usual fling feces at the wall and hope something sticks. The irony of him accusing others of misquoting and misrepresenting AS he is doing it himself is a bit funny....he grows more pathetic by the day (and he is smelling a bit desperate these last few days....even with my stuffed up nose I can smell it!)
  9. Still waiting for you numerous examples...you did say I do this all the time and to lots of people...where is the evidence of all this?
  10. So where are your numerous examples...the one you gave so far has failed. You keep saying I do this all the time and to lots of people.....show the posts, what are you waiting for?
  11. Also the few areas where population growth HAS lessened, its easy to fix by immigration since so many other areas are overpopulated.
  12. I did read it and I dont need to apologize because YOU were unclear about what area you were discussing when talking about rising demand. I didnt change your quote. Now show me these threads and instances where I change peoples quotes..... you claim that I change quotes all the time and to lots of people...prove this to be true. Show these examples.
  13. Well he has just illustrated that a misunderstanding is characterized by him as changing his quotes...and doing it all the time to lots of people. He would like people to believe I quoted him and went into the quote box and CHANGED what he said and tried to pass off that changed quote as his original. And he is accusing OTHERS of being dishonest...LOL!
  14. So again where is this proof that I CHANGE QUOTES? You claim I do this all the time and to everybody...so you should be able to come up with lots of examples....the one you gave failed. The fact that I misunderstood what you were referring to when you talked about the area of rising demand was because you werent clear.....and that doesnt at all mean I "changed your quote", in fact now you are just revealing how you TRY to mislead and lie about what others have done. So I will await the numerous examples of me changing peoples quotes....you should have no problem providing them right?
  15. I didnt CHANGE YOUR QUOTE, you worded your own statement badly and werent specific about demand of what area you meant and it sounded like you meant something different than what you later stated it was in reference to. I didnt LIE nor did I CHANGE your quote which is what you accused me of. You said I do it all the time and to lots of people...I am still waiting for you to SHOW THIS.

No holds barred chat

  • Hey kfools.. does this help?

  • Liberals are going to hell.

  • grgle

  • Where’s at @slideman?

  • Hola

  • I know this one, this new chat thing. I've seen it called the "shoutbox" among other things in my past. Very hard to hide from the chat box. The question is asked, there's no time to go search what other folks think, this is real time. Only seconds should be between chat box replies. This one is made for me. In the chat box one has to be quick on their feet with stuff at the ready. This chat box is the worst nightmare of anyone trying to deal with ol' teach.

hey @teacher that sounds like too much work for me LOL I need that useless thing called *time* in order to authenticate facts and truths which get posted by deceitful Dems

  • What does the red number refer to? currently, on my screen it says 2

  • Where does it say 2?

  • So. In the chat....if you tag a member the text afterwards should be a private message.

  • How do? I'm teacher. If I'm online and the powers that be can figure out how to make it immediately apparent to me that whatever I've said here has been replied to I'm gonna show up right quick and kick some teeth in. It's the chat box, all this is new and scary. I know this gig. This starts now.

Scroll the other way for a while and you'll see me saying that these days the chat box ain't gonna work as one has to be quick on one's feet. The question is posed, there ain't no stinkin time for ya'll to refer to your betters for the answer, ya'll don't understand these things, this political debate, ya'll don't have the answer at hand, ya'll haven't thought this through, ya'll ain't ready for the next question I'll ask,  ya'll can't handle the pace that a bloke such as I can bring it in the chat box, ya'll can't handle this format.

This one is made for me.
