  8. I think that's why I liked it...I was in the mood for something outside...it distracted me.
  9. I watched that the other night. It wasn’t terrible
  10. Can’t wait for season 2
  11. The Boys is an Amazon Prime series. Amazing and worth watching.
  12. Just watched The Invisible Man for the first time. Really enjoyed it. It came in a box set with Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Bride of Frankenstein, and The Mummy. Gonna work through the collection. What are some of your favourite classic horror films?
  13. It's sort of a "cult" movie. I'm not sure I would've understood some of it before reading the book. It's a huge book. It has maps, and family trees and even a geological history of Arrakis. Difficult to summarize in just one movie. Though I thought they did a good job of capturing the relevant aspects. Maybe if you watch the 2000 TV series. It might be available somewhere. It wasn't as great, but it's longer so it probably covers more detail.
  14. Unfortunately, right now that's a monopoly in our country. There are only two choice: cable, or your phone company. Unless you are one of the lucky ones who happens to live in one of the few limited areas where they offer FIOS. Otherwise, I would definitely not recommend the phone company. If Comcast offers services with no contract, I would suffer with their lamentable customer service for a while until 5G comes of age. That will be a game-changer, but it's not fully implemented yet. When you see companies like Google or Verizon offering Internet access for homes, that's when you'
  15. I have tried to watch it several times. It is complicated. Someone sent me links to help understand it.. it’s a process. I’m determined.
  16. My favorite SF book of all time. And I think that the original movie (the one with Sting) was underrated. The TV series... only so-so. I read the book twice. First several years before I watched the movie, and again after. So that was about 35 years ago. I can try to answer any questions, but I'm not sure my memory will serve me right. But I'm looking forward to the new release.
  17. Worth the wait. Glad I finally got to watch this !
  18. The notebook. I’m embarrassed to say. I just watched it for the first time. I cried my eyes out. What a wonderful story.
  19. I know in the midst of hardened males- to find anyone that will enjoy a great love story as much as I do.. will be unlikely. I’m talking The real tearjerkers here. ???
  20. I’m TRYING to get it. This movie is very complicated. The new release is coming this year- any DUNE junkies here?
  21. Loved that movie (What We Do in the Shadows). Really well-done. On a more serious note, the only real werewolf films I'v seen are The Howling and Ginger Snaps (I and II). I enjoyed them all, though I'd have to rewatch The Howling because it's been more than 15 years since I've seen it.
  22. I’m searching for internet/WiFi providers in my area. I do not want cable. I also refuse to use Comcast. If anyone has suggestions for a service provider in the northeast area. also best smart tv too. thanks
